If you are a vegetarian you know how hard it can be to get decent food on the road. A Noodles and Company is always a welcomed sight. Just had a visit to the restaurant in Manitowoc. I had pad Thai with tofu. My wife had spicy Bangkok curry. Both dishes were excellent. As I am usually hesitant to give out five star ratings, I will explain why I gave this place one. Noodles gets four stars for its food. The fact that they use organic tofu means I am not having to eat GMO soybeans. They also have organic milk and tea. Their eggs are free range. I like their motto of "no microwaves nor no can openers" Food prep takes a bit; but the food is fresh and made to order. I cannot stand cilantro; and I asked for it to left off my food, no problem. Many fast food restaurants prepare their food en masse and customization is usually not allowed. It's weird not tipping the wait crew; but I'm assuming that Noodles pays a decent wage. For all of the above reasons I give Noodles an extra star. I must comment on another review about having to bus your own table. You don't have to, just walk away. As for the menu being hard to read and understand, if you can read English and can stand in one place for a minute or two, you will have no problems. Ignore the whiners, enjoy your food. I must add that the majority of the clientele were millennial women. They are concerned with what they eat. Noodles makes food that tastes good and is good for you. Skip the fast food and go for the not-so-fast food, it's better tasting: and it's...
Read moreManitowoc, WI Location Friday Oct 6 Between 615 and 700pm Ordered a Regular Mac & Cheese also a regular buttered noodle. Waited 10 mins finally someone asked me what I was waiting for, I repeated my order. 5 mins later I was asked again. Orders after me were coming and going. When I was asked a 3rd time I said F it and walked out without the food I paid for. I can tell you what happened, The lady bagging orders stopped to talk to a friend in the lobby and the food that was meant for me went to another order that was similar. I called back after I calmed down to talk to the manager. I wanted the phone number for the owner or coporate in which I was told she didnt have that number or information. She then proceeded to tell me I should have spoke up and I was the disrespectful one for walking out. I asked for nothing other than a phone number and she became confrontational "Why didnt you say something?" I ordered the food and was asked 3 seperate times what i was waiting for and what my order was. Thats not enough? Im not after anything but respect. I did nothing wrong. I could have and probably should have made it at home in the same time. Chances are the manager was the one talking in the lobby. I love this place but I think its time our family...
Read moreFriendly service, generally quick at getting food. Excellent taste of food and variety of yummy selections! You pay a little more than say a fast food joint but you are also getting better cleaner quality of food. The only downfall is their soda machine. Something is off. There is more carbonated water vs. the flavoring. Have reported it a couple of times and am informed that the “settings are all correct” making me feel like I’m nuts. Kinda like looking at a car and saying “well it looks great” without ever getting under the hood. Granted, these are kids and young people running the place and have much to learn about listening/professionally addressing a concern versus making one feel dumb for reporting the issue. Just stay away from the soda and...
