OYO Hotel McAllen Airport South — Hotel in McAllen

Horrible attitude. Can’t finish a question when I get a cold firm attitude answer. A thin young lady that looked like a 17year old (cold,shut up style answer) was training another person. I had to go to the atm to get cash so I could get a deposit back. $100 I asked for a receipt “you don’t get one” that was my answer.

I get up early went to the front lobby hoping for. Same thin female “ we don’t offer free breakfast “ ok I was just asking for coffee.. nothing about free.

At check out the lady with glasses I believe pregnant. Looks at me while I had my key card in the form of me returning it and at a distance saying can I help you?! You would think she would say “good morning mam, are you checking out?” While standing in front of the guest. She then leans to the side to reach for the card and said “is that it?” Me: I have a deposit. No word from her, They check the room and everything if fine.

Lady: hands me a paper to sign…. I am trying to read and she then gets in front of me and said “sign here” touching the paper. Me:I am reading. lady: touched the paper and said sign here you don’t have to read below. You are singing what’s under your signature.

Me: “this is also under the signature?!” Lady: you can scratch that off moving her shoulders. Like i don’t care Me: I did scratch and wrote receiving my $100 in cash. Lady: looks at it, said this is not a signature.

Me, why am I signing when I asked for a receipt last night and i didn’t get one

Lady: I wasn’t here last night and can’t control what they do. Me: wow So I scribbled and she puts the money in the counter NEVER a thank you, come back and visit, nothing. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I...

Wish I could put 0 stars. Bathroom had ants, no hand soap, towels were dirty, bed was hard as a rock, ac made the room humid, water in shower did NOT get hot. There were people right outside of our room talking loudly and playing music ALL night. Some even had their cars turned on with the lights facing directly into the window. Some were also revving their engines. This is just an assumption, but I’m pretty sure some employees LIVE there, which wouldn’t be a big deal if they weren’t extremely rude. My guest and I showed up separately, he had my dog with him.. which we were going to take to a family member of mine. Employee saw me with the dog outside of the hotel and immediately charged me a pet fee. Pet fee is $15, which isn’t a big charge. But it is for someone who clearly didn’t have the money to even pay for the $100 deposit AFTER having already paid for my room online, WHICH I told him. I had to purposely put my account into the negatives and overdrafted it just to be able to stay here, and there he goes… charging a fee when he was unaware of the situation. He told me to call someone named Alex on Monday morning at 9:30 at the same location. It’s Friday night right now. Don’t even know if it’s worth it at this point because he was extremely rude and inconsiderate on the phone and clearly this pending transaction will already have gone through by Monday. There is nothing I can do now except say how SH*TTY this location and its employees are....

Awful. The room was fine but the customer service experience was by far one of the worst I've dealt with. I booked thru hotels tonight and could not reach the front desk no matter how many times I tried. They kept forwarding me to their call center in India where they refused to connect me because the reference number I had for my reservation wouldn't pull up. They told me to call hotels tonight to figure it out and even after several phone calls and attempts I had to go to the hotel in person where they were little to no help. The NAIL in the coffin tho was when I got charged an extra 25 dollars because I left the room at 11:15 and I didn't even get a receipt explaining why. You couldn't pay me to stay here and just so we're clear take a look at my reviews. I never leave a bad review everything is always 4-5 stars because I like to support small businesses, so if I'm leaving a bad review it's because you deserve it not because I'm bitter.
