Palmas Del Sol Active 55+ Resort — Hotel in Mesa

I have recently relocated to the Mesa, Arizona. I was introduced to the property of Palmas Del Sol. From the security officer at the front gate, and the friendly staff in the office. I felt Welcome, as if I was family. This community feels like a large family, but don't get the wrong impression. You will have some neighbors, and will not meet everyone living here. I was impressed by people walking/driving by and waving, saying hello even though I was unknown to them. There is a statement around the park, that says "the only steps you'll find here go down into the pool." A 55+ year old community. A place where you can do as much / or as little as you want. I have not felt more at home or as welcomed as I have since arriving here. Community owners won't put a lift in the pool. They also refuse to add/modify the existing steps. Due to this lots of elderly in the community just can't even use the pool area. Management has been approached about it and refuses to improve rhe pool area.

Also... During COVID right now they are charging full lot rent and will not allow certain uses in the club house area. Managements response to the concern was along the lines of: You signed a contract and have to pay. Refusal to pay will result in our lawyer contacting you.

Management loves to raise the lot rent every year while continuing to not provide quality improvements.

I have a friend that lives here and wished he hadn’t. He had a fall in one of these cracks. Where the asphalt meets the sidewalks. He is going to pt. He says they try to do some questionable things when a person. Is deceased and there are some real prizes in here but I like the place. They seem nice enough. And just cause they have some road work and electrical boxes that need to be secured. Open wires...
