I’m found this quaint breakfast and lunch restaurant just by searching Google maps and looking for good reviews. It is not that close to us but we gave it a shot on a breakfast outing with a friend. First off this is probably the most friendly place I have very been. As we walked in the workers were hugging their regular customers and the friendly banter was charming. Just the nicest people there, both the employees and the customers. Everyone was really nice and chatty but not in a way that would bug you, just pleasant. The food was good and fresh. I had the pork chops and eggs breakfast and my pork chops were tasty and I enjoyed my breakfast. My wife had to try their chicken fried steak and it was also quite good. Our friend got a custom order and they were very accommodating. My only complaint was the coffee was a bit weak for me. I’ll try it again, maybe it was a bad batch. Not bad coffee, don’t misunderstand. Just weak for my taste. This is a place I wish was closer to us. I would come here every week if it were. As is we will get back up there soon. It will be a good place for a breakfast ride once the weather cools down just a bit.

We went in for brunch on a Wednesday morning. We enjoyed watching other diners’ meal selections while waiting for our food. Our server was attentive and prompt throughout our meal. The food came in a timely manner, considering how busy the restaurant was. Two of us ordered the breakfast burrito, mine was the chorizo version. However, I didn’t expect my burrito to come drowned in salsa. It would have been nice for the salsa to come served in a bowl on the side, but that’s not a big issue for me since I appreciate a good salsa. My issue with the burrito was that it was mostly tortilla. There was very little chorizo, or anything else, actually in the burrito. Most of what I left on my plate after eating was a tortilla carcass. While the burrito was fairly large, there was hardly enough stuffing in it to satisfy my hunger. When you pay almost $13 for a breakfast burrito, you want something that’s going to stick to your ribs for the rest of the morning. This was very disappointing, especially since I drove here from West Phoenix.

A True Local Gem Cozy Corner Cafe in Mesa is exactly what the name promises—cozy, welcoming, and full of charm. I’ve been here a few times, and it just keeps getting better. The updated tables and decorations give it a warm, nostalgic diner feel, with fun touches like vintage license plates and homey wall art. The food is excellent. The French toast was perfect—crispy outside, soft and fluffy inside. I also had pork chops and eggs with hashbrowns, and everything was prepared exactly how I like it. It’s comfort food done right. Even more impressive was the service. We were there at 8 a.m. on a Saturday—it wasn’t too busy yet—but one waitress was handling the whole floor and still managed to be super friendly and attentive. That kind of effort and attitude goes a long way. The menu has something for everyone, including vegetarian options and flexibility for food allergies or special requests. Whether you’re after a hearty breakfast or just a laid-back, friendly spot, Cozy Corner Cafe is a must-visit.

Cozy Corner Café: A Delightful Dining Experience

Our visit to Cozy Corner Café was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we felt warmly welcomed by the staff, who provided outstanding customer service throughout our meal.

The food was absolutely delicious. The French toast was perfectly golden and had just the right balance of crispness and softness. The Swedish crepes were delicate, with a subtle sweetness that paired wonderfully with the toppings. The biscuits and gravy were hearty and comforting, with flaky biscuits and rich, flavorful gravy. The spinach, mushroom, and onion omelette was expertly prepared, with fresh ingredients and a satisfying balance of flavors.

What made our experience truly special was the personal touch from the owner, who opened a quieter section of the restaurant to accommodate our family of five. This thoughtful gesture ensured a more private and comfortable dining experience. The owner even stopped by multiple times to check on us, making sure everything was to our liking. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring that our every need was met with a smile.

The café’s atmosphere is as cozy as its name suggests. It’s the kind of place where you feel right at home, thanks to the warmth of the staff and the inviting décor. Cozy Corner Café truly sets itself apart with its incredible food, top-notch service, and a genuine commitment to making guests feel valued. We’ll definitely be...

If you're looking for one of the most concentrated doses of pure Americana one can find in Mesa, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better spot than the Cozy Corner Cafe. However, this dose of Americana happens to, not coincidentally, be a din of casual racism, xenophobic conspiracy theories, and quiet Q-Anon mania which is tolerated and accepted by the meek management and wait staff.

Ordinarily, I wouldn't hold customer behaviors against the staff. But the unwelcomeness in the atmosphere makes me feel as if I've stepped through time to sit down and eat in a sundown town, and for a business with "cozy" right in the name, that sure doesn't make me feel at ease.

The service, fortunately, is passable. The food is also passable. To say anything more about either would be assigning more distinction to both categories than they really deserve; the breakfast food portions are meager and the service is eager to please, both traits which can be attributed to the demanding, elderly clientele which keep the Cozy Corner Cafe afloat.

If you're still young enough to care about what dubiously edible breakfast foods you put in your mouth,...
