This place has been very hit or miss for me with the quality of their frozen treats, and my experience today was the worst yet.
The employee at the counter who took our order - Megan - was very pleasant, greeted us when we came through the door, and promptly took our order.
I ordered a peanut buster parfait. I've actually decided against ordering this particular treat at this location on several occasions due to previous experiences where the treat had very few peanuts, very little fudge, or both. This particular time, however, was the worst. I was given a peanut buster parfait that had plainly been made previously and refrozen. The "hot" fudge was frozen solid, the peanuts were stone cold, and the ice cream was what you would expect from something that had softened and then refrozen. I ate it, thinking that maybe DQ had started pre-making treats and keeping them in the freezer to speed up order times or something of that nature.
It bothered me enough, however, that I made a point to ask Megan about it as we were leaving. If DQ truly had gone this route, I wanted to know so that I wouldn't order this particular treat in the future. Megan said that this was not the case - that the one I had been give just happened to be an extra from earlier in the day.
If I wanted a premade treat that sat in the freezer, I'd just go to the store and buy a box of ice cream sandwiches or drumsticks. I don't think I"ll be visiting DQ again in the...
Read moreI used to work here so let’s begin. First things first, management was incredibly terrible aside from two mangers, none of management could run the store at all and the owner could not run the store either. Most of the staff including myself hated working there just because of how terribly managed we were. The place was unbelievably filthy, it was filthier than a teenage boy’s room whenever I got there to clock in and by the time I had to leave I could only get it somewhat better than when I had arrived and the only place that was constantly clean was the freezer, no one besides three other employees did the dishes properly. Some employees would not wear gloves at all when preparing food or blizzards for customers. People would wait anywhere from 15-60 minutes to get their food because of the fact that at least half of the staff including myself were not trained at all by trainers or any of the management and had to learn from fellow crew members who probably only had 3 more months of experience, the only employees properly trained were the grill staff. So if you are thinking of getting food or ice cream from here, don’t you’ll be saving yourself so much time and probably...
