Superior Suites Phoenix Mesa — Hotel in Mesa

Not a customer service motel and would not recommend. No WIFI service available even though clerk stated that their WIFI was availabe for all customers. Given an access code, but very slow. Pool is not heated, so during our stay in March did not use because the pool was very cold, even though the temp outside was 80-90. We did see a few children use the pool but no adults. No hot tub. Breakfast was two very small muffins (all that were on the platter) and they did not bring out anymore and breakfast was available for another 45 minutes. There is a bakery next door that could easily supply them with delicious pastries, rather than the Walmart donuts/muffins we were given. They only have bedding/towels for what is in the room. Housekeeping will enter your room THREE different times within a 3-4 hour time period. Once to remove the towels from your room, second to make your bed and vacuum, and third to bring you clean towels. If they are washing your bedding they will need to enter a fourth time and then a fifth time to put the clean sheets on. I am used to housekeeping coming into my room ONE time and completing everything within a 20 minute timeframe. Toilet had been replaced when they put tile in the bathroom, but when you sat down you were on a rocking toilet. Bathtub was chipped and in need of repairs. Would have requested my money back, but were locked into a non-refundable room. When checking out of the motel, there was no one behind the counter and a pregnant lady was sobbing because they were claiming that her room smelled of smoke, even though she stated that she did not smoke and the motel would not give back the deposit. Many times when we drove into the parking lot, many customers were standing outside rooms smoking. If someone stands outside your room the air conditioner which is on the outside wall will pull in the smoke smell. Not a quite motel...voices can be heard easily through the walls. TV is very ancient, not flat screen and colors were so distorted that everything was dark and hard to see. Bed was not comfortable, no pillowtop, bare basics and pillows were either lumpy...

Don't be lured in by the attractive room rate. It will be wise to select any other property even if at twice the rate. The attitude of the management is depolorable. I booked a two day stay and of course full amount is due up front plus a $30 fee to be refunded on checkout. I had to leave early AM after one night due to a family emergency. When I left the hotel at 7:00AM the lobby was closed so I could not discuss my early unplanned departure. I called several times that morning to alert the property management that I had checked out and the room was available for cleaning and resell. Every phone call was met with a terse message; "UNAVAILABLE" Finally late that day I got through to the General Manager who asked why I had not called earlier. OMG! He said he would review my situation and call me back the next day with his decision on whether to remit the charge for day two which had already been charged to me card. Needless to say he never called back and of course the charges for both days hit my card. I have travelelled the world for the past 40 years staying in literally hundreds of hotels. I have never been charged for a night's stay when reporting an unplanned need for early departure. (The only exception are homes booked for an entire week.) The management of this property seems quite disengenuous and wholly lacking in any kind of professionalism. And of course I will never look twice at this property as it is also completely inferior in all ways in spite of its name "Superior Suites." The towels are thing, the walls are thin, the bedding thin and stained and the carpets stained as well. Do yourself a huge favor and book virtually anywhere else. You'll be the winner!

DO NOT BOOK LODGING HERE!!!

My wife and booked a room online for one night here for the night of March 13th. On arrival and check in we were offered room #121. When we inspected the room we found the floor dirty and a chunk of carpet missing, the bed sheet soiled or stained (we couldn't tell which) and near thread bare. The top sheet on the bed had a cigarette burn hole in it.

We asked for another room explaining what we found in #121. The clerk graciously gave us another room, #127. On inspection we found the bed with no top sheet, the sheets badly won to near thread bare, the bath faucet dripped very badly and the floor in this room also had a large frayed edge adjacent to the hard flooring leading to the bathroom. We returned to the clerk once again and asked for a refund because we felt this place was unsuitable for us.

We're not clean freaks but do expect reasonable quality and cleanliness.

Not finding anything near satisfaction here we wanted to search out for ourselves another place to spend the night. The clerk explaned she couldn't refund us but could offer an upgrade room, #135. We cautiously accepted the offer finding problems with the bed again with a pillow cover had a cigarette burn hole in it and floor dirty.

With three rooms of such poor quality we asked the clerk again for a refund which was declined then asked that the manager call us to discuss what we found.

We didn't hear from him. We've called since three times asking him to call us and leaving messages and our return phone number without hearing from anyone.

So, today I am posting this very poor review.
