I’m twisted about how I feel about this hotel. Let me lay down the facts and you can make an educated decision. The place is very very clean ( except for the smelly elevator, I will explain more later). I love the fact that it’s very close to Miami International Airport, Dolphin Mall and Miami International Mall as well as amazing restaurants. Fun fact: the Cuban restaurants near by are 4.5 to 5 stars, food is delicious and very reasonable. The front desk staff went out of their way to make our visit a happy one. The interior is modern day chic with a grand white piano. There is a small cute bar and a restaurant on opposite ends and a pool table which is very uncommon. There were a lot of families here and the kids enjoyed this part of the stay. We checked in the day before Hurricane Milton hit Florida. Then we saw hoards and hoards of ppl coming in with their dogs and realized these were not tourists, they were evacuees from Tampa and Orlando. Another plus, we didn’t have to pay for parking. We were thrilled. As a matter of fact no one should pay for parking. It’s like going to Vegas and now everyone has to pay a resort fee.. YUCK!!! As you walk in, it smells like a clean crisp forest, there is a business center and adorable dog park. I almost forgot we had a tiny balcony that we never used. Lol. Now what we didn’t like….. There are 6 floors and only one elevator was working. The elevator smelt like a wet dog. We made several trips up and down for our stay of two days and the smell was awful every time. The internet speed was horrible! We tried several times on several of our devices and nothing worked. Then it was time to relax and watch tv and that too wouldn’t work!!! Their so called smart Tv would only work with internet and as I just explained internet was horrible so there was nothing to watch. It just wouldn’t work. Our room was medium size and nice but none of their electrical outlets worked expect for the one in the bathroom with the blow dryer, so we charged our phones there. We got half roll of toilet paper?!?!?! We had sufficient towels and blankets. Finally, we tried working out at the gym, but it’s very very small and got crowded fast. I understand it was a crazy few days with all these animals and evacuees, but I wish the electrical aspect of this trip would have worked and seeing there were so many animals I think the elevator should have been cleaned constantly.

Due to technical issues I missed my flight and needed overnight accommodations. Expedia advertised the Regency Sonata at $61/night but it was a “bait and switch”. When I attempted to actually book my stay the cheapest rate was now $118.00. Frankly, I was tired so I simply booked the room. Upon arrival the desk clerk was okay, but could have been a bit more welcoming. Once she had my payment she conveniently then mentioned the elevators were all not working. This issue was not shared prior to my booking. Now to the fun stuff. The room is not just outdated, but cheaply furnished. The bed had a frame that protruded beyond the mattress and had sharp edges (see photo). I hit my shin on the edge of the frame at least three times during my stay. I am sure others have experienced the same predicament. The furniture in the room was also worn and overall I felt the place was rather shabby. I will definitely not ever return. BTW, the power outlets at the base of the nightstands are a joke as well. The receptacle for the my phone charger is poorly designed and made. See accompanying photo. Overall, the hotel is outdated, very basic and the only redeeming thing I can share is it is five minutes from the airport.

I stayed here for a night on my way to my cruise. The lobby was gorgeous and was giving five star hotel vibes. When you move onto the rest of the hotel, you can tell that someone did their best to update a two star hotel. My room was pretty clean, some stray hairs in the bathroom, but nothing too bad. The bed was comfortable and the balcony was nice. It was raining while I was there so I did not get to experience the pool, but it looked nice and clean. Apparently the breakfast buffet is included for some people‘s reservations and not for others. I booked my room on Priceline so for me, the buffet is not included so I paid $20 for it and that might be one of the biggest waste of money. Overall, the staff was friendly. The location was great. It was less than a 10 minute ride from the airport. I got a good deal on this room from Priceline so can’t complain too much if I would’ve paid full price I might have been slightly disappointed. The outside looks really nice - fresh turf and clean white paint.

My daughter and I stayed here. Good location near express way. But I was not pleased with my entire stay. I booked through Priceline which in the past I’ve always enjoyed. This experience wasn’t expected. Start with Parking, they wanted $28 per night parking which is absurd, especially when staying 9 days! So we parked blocks away to get free parking, and most day either couldn’t find a spot or drove around for a hour hoping someone would leave. Lobby and pool area were nice and clean. Upon arriving we went to Walmart and stacked up on snacks and microwaveables to not have to spend so much money on food. We check-in, and ask a luggage cart. Was told a not so funny joke basically implying he didn’t know where anywhere. So we took trips carrying our luggage and around 15 bags from Walmart, as we had did some additional shopping. All to get to the room and see no microwave. So I told my daughter there’s probably one on this floor if not on the main level. Rooms were clean, however had a strange smell to them, although halls smelled awesome. WHowever drain in sink and tub were slow, and backed up while using. The next day passed and she looked and told me she didn’t see one on our floor and all the had was an ice machine not even any vending machines. 1 and 2 star hotels at least have vending machines. So we avoided some of the microwaveables that day. Next day I call the front desk to see where the microwave is located, no answer on 4 different call times. We went to leave the hotel to get something to eat and lo and behold there’s 3 people at the front desk yet no one can answer the phone. The next day I try again after waking up thinking about microwaving some breakfast items and again no answer I end up going to the front desk and they tell me they don’t have a microwave because guests got into a fight over it so they removed it from everybody. I said how do you have a full restaurant and no microwave for your guests to heat their leftovers. I ended up calling Priceline to make a complaint, they placed me on hold and called the hotel, then came back and said nothing can be done and I could checkout however it wasn’t guaranteed that my remaining days would be refunded! Ended up being a not so...

To the kind attention of the Director o Front desk Manager Good morning, Let me introduce myself, my name is Roxana Vasquez from Italy and I was your host with my sister Giselle in your hotel from April 21st. till April 23th. I am writing to express my concern regarding a parking fine I received at your hotel's parking facility. The fact was that as soon as we arrived to the airport on April 21st. around the 9pm, we took a rental car Toyota Rav4 blue plate 49ECHI with CARWIZ and as soon as we arrived at Regency Miami Airport Hotel we paid the parking as you can see in the attach file "Parking mail". Unfortunately, we had some problems with the car and had to substitute it the day after in the morning with a Toyota Highlander white plate JYFT44 as you can see in the attach file "rentalagreement72335". We returned to the hotel only in the late afternoon around 7 pm and informed the staff on duty at the front desk about the replacing vehicle with a different one, and I was assured that it would be fine without needing to provide any further information or complete any additional procedures. The hotel reception didn't take any notes about the car exchange plates. Unfortunately, I have since received a fine for not paying for parking, which I believe is unjustified given the circumstances, see attach file "parking ticket". The company rental car already paid it with the security deposit for a total amount of $157.05. We kindly ask you to cancel this ticket/fine for the proof we send you in attach and as I acted in good faith based on the staff's assurance. I think that you can check also with your video film and all the attach file. In this email you can find also the reply of the Parking company. I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and cancel the fine. Please make us a transfer for the total amount or cancel the debit operation in order that the rental car return us the total amount. Please let me know if there's any additional information you need from me. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Regards, PS: all file were already...
