Hereford Grill — Local services in Miami

Very disappointed. Very high expectations. We had so many memories and great experiences at Hereford grill. Waiting for this moment for four years. Nothing was kept from the original Hereford. Not even the essences. Owner and servers more attentive to the owners friends then the REAL and loyal customers who went to Hereford Grill for years. The expectation for the food and service was very high. It wasn’t bad but nothing for the price. Completely understandable that its the first day of opening, but the lack of service and professionalism when coming across the waiting and inconvenience the restaurant presented was absurd. I too, work in the industry and have opened serveral resturants and can understand the mess ups that can happen…. But this was just awfulllllll!! 40 mins for the apps. Two hours for our main dishes. 30 mins for a FLAN. We were presented with the check even before out dessert arrived! ? Excuse me ?! Definitely lost loyal customers. Not only us, but our entire family. Safe to say this is nothing like Hereford Grill. If they wanted a complete change or maby another Zucca i would have thought about changing the name as well. This is NOTHING like Hereford. Our cycle has closed. If your looking for that warm welcoming feeling Hereford had to offer, save yourself the trip. Its NOTHING like what Hereford truley was. really wanted to like this place. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, and the ambiance was lovely—clean, elegant, modern, and cozy, with a great vibe that made a strong first impression.

Unfortunately, the food experience didn’t live up to the setting. After placing our order, we ended up waiting far longer than expected—well beyond what’s reasonable, especially considering the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy. When the food finally arrived, it was cold, and the flavor—arguably the most important part—was nothing extraordinary. To top it off, the dessert wasn’t what we ordered.

The staff did apologize and tried to make things right, but by that point, the experience had already been tainted.

It’s a shame, because the service and environment were both promising. But the kitchen really needs to step up. You can get a far better Argentinian steakhouse experience at any Graziano’s Market. I was honestly surprised, especially knowing that the team behind this restaurant isn’t new to the game. My experience at Zuca, for example, was excellent—so this was disappointing...

We had a good time, the restaurant is beautiful, but honestly it was not what we were expecting. Being long time customers of the original Hereford, this was too big of a change, we were expecting a renovated version of our favorite Venezuelan steak house, but instead we got a full revamp, lacking too many things form the old one. Don’t get me wrong, the restaurant is beautiful and modern, but designed for the occasional nice dinner night-out, or a date, but not for the lay back Sunday late lunch like it used to be. Prices are a bit steep, given the level of renovation. Steak were too expensive and did not offer any parrillada for 2 or 3 people, which was awesome before. Service was good, all very nice, but to early to judge since they had just opened. I don’t think this would be a problem. With some changes and additions to the many to make it a bit more homey, and some price adjustments, it has the potential to be the Hereford grill...
