In miami working a wedding and the party went well into the night, I needed a place to stay. With The Heat in the playoffs and it being Memorial weekend, many places were booked. Called, and they had availability. Needed a single room with two queen beds. $140 for the night. $5 cash deposit for a single room key. No card. If placed on card nonrefundable. (Too much money on transactions for the company) Or you can leave your ID. Granted, I looked at the reviews and already knew what this place was. I still needed to shower and sleep. My room was in the main building. (There is a bar across the street, but I had no noise complaints.) When I first walked in, there were stains on the TILE floor. Near the door, bathroom door, and TV center. I highly don't recommend walking around barefoot. SUPER DATED TV 720p Sanyo. With three watchable channels. 30 music channels. Bluetooth room phone (wasn't plugged in at all. Possibly just for decoration) can't call front desk. Only 1 outlet on the complete opposite side of the room by the AC. Walked into the bathroom, and there were long strands of hair from the previous tenants. On the bathroom tile wall and floor. The shower has a window that has years of dust and dead bugs on the ledge. (Which is odd considering its next to running water) The shower curtain doesn't reach the floor, so you get a nice pool in the bathroom. Toilet had stains all over. Sheets felt like printing paper and old beds. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

When first walking in the old musty smell throughout the entire property gave us nausea. Everything is outdated. In the room! The bathroom has no vent. It's bad for your partner when you have to do number 2. The thermostat is over 6 feet high on the wall , and my wife couldn't reach it. Lighting was old and dim. Furniture looks like it's from the 1900s. There are no outlets next to the bed. One outlet by the door. We pulled one nightstand over to the door to charge the phones. Walls are paper thin. You can hear everyone's conversations and doors slamming. And finally the bed! My wife refused to sleep on the bed because of the condition of the property , and she slept on two chairs. I had no choice, so I slept over the covers. It was a horrible night. We had thoughts of renting a car and sleeping in that. I should have paid the $300 for a nice hotel. You get what you pay for. Lesson learned.

This is a budget motel, not a hotel. It is old and very noisy, located just beyond the end of the airport runway. The plus side is clean sheets, hot water, cable TV, and good air conditioning. They also provided a free airport shuttle. The floor was dirty when we checked in and wasn't cleaned the next morning. The room reeked of cigarette smoke and the shower flow was weak. The exhaust fan didn't work at all. The bed was cheap and hard, the pillows were soft and useless. The had a bottle opener mounted on the wall and a car stereo built into the headboard! To get anywhere, you have to change from train to bus at the airport, which is a long wait every night. There's also no free breakfast, only horrible coffee.

I have NEVER written a review like this, but this place deserves it. My brother and I stayed here because every place in the airport area was full. When checking in late on Friday night, the guy working behind the counter, Jose, took our payment and gave us the room key....for which we had to pay a $5.00 deposit (red flag #1). In the course of some small-talk, I unintentionally left my wallet on the counter in plain view of him. The people in the lobby-area seemed dubious and very sketchy, to say the least (red flag #2). We headed to our room but didn't get far when I noticed that I did not have my wallet. Since we were already in the elevator, I immediately hit the button in the elevator and went back to the lobby (less than 2 minutes), and the wallet was gone. I quickly asked Jose if he saw the wallet or if anyone walked by, and he said no. I went back to my room and started checking my carryon bag to see if I had misplaced it. My brother went back to the lobby to talk to Jose and see if he saw anything. Within 10 minutes of sitting in my room searching my bag and briefcase, my cellphone began receiving text messages from my credit card company requesting that I confirm suspicious purchases in nearby gas stations and liquor stores. It was obviously my carelessness that led to my wallet being stolen, but the hotel management did nothing to help or mitigate the situation. If you have to stay here, be very alert and keep a sharp eye on your possessions. However, this place is not a...

This hotel was fine for a one-night stay before heading to the airport for our flight home, but I wouldn't recommend a stay beyond that. We received an interior room (in the "hotel" building itself, as opposed to the motel-style rooms bordering the parking lot): it was clean and spacious, but sparsely furnished and poorly lit. The furniture was rather worn: the bed was hard and creaky, and the round table was kind of wobbly. Other issues included a broken plastic fixture in the bathroom, occasional problems with the wifi, and lamps that are few in number and not very powerful. And a pet peeve of mine: hardly any power outlets in the room, and none near the round table (the only place to set up a computer). The main issue with the room: the toilet was broken and didn't flush. When I brought the issue up with the front desk, they basically responded with a shrug, and then said they'd "write it down." Hmm. Also, it was a bit weird to have to pay a $5 refundable cash deposit on the room key. On the other hand, the hotel is very convenient to the airport, the shuttle service was excellent, the staff were helpful with airport questions, and the shower was great. Overall, this place seems to be coasting on its proximity to the airport. If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive place to stay for a visit in Miami, go elsewhere: you can get better quality for the same price at...
