This place is absolutely disgusting. I booked a double bed room reservation through Priceline for this hotel. Upon checking in, I thought it wouldn't be too awful. Once I got to my room (138) I tried both keys I was given multiple times for about 3 minutes and was unsuccessful. I went back to the front desk and let the hotel clerk know that the keys didn't work. He swiped them again and told me to try room 137. I walk back around the building to room 137 and try both cards again with no luck in getting them to work. After a few minutes of trying, the hotel clerk came walking up and used his own key to get me into my room. He attempted numerous times to get my keys to work and got a green light only once and told me I would just have to keep trying if they weren't working for me. Once inside the room, I checked the beds for bedbugs and didn't see any. I had my 2 year old nephew and sister staying in the room with me. My mother was there dropping them off and came in the room to help get us settled in. She was walking around inspecting the place and found a huge hole in the floor. This hole was open and went straight down about 4 feet to the crawl space under the room. The ground inside the hole was full of water. It was absolutely unsanitary and unsafe. Had the board of health been present, they would have shut the place down, I'm sure. There was also electrical wiring showing on the wall above where the hole in the floor was. I turned the heater on to see if it would work, since the room was sincerely freezing cold, and the heater barely blew. I checked the bathroom to see what the condition of it was and it was just as poor as the rest of the room. I decided to go up front and get a refund. There was absolutely no way I was going to be pay and stay at a motel that would rent a room out that was in that condition. Especially with my nephew with me. The hotel clerk up front told me I'd have to come back in the morning to get a refund because a manager had to approve and administer the refund. I went out to the car and told my mother what he had said and that I would just come back in the morning and she said, no way. She went inside and demanded a refund. The clerk had me fill out a piece of paper and gave me my refund right then and there. I got a receipt to prove so and went on about my way. There is no doubt in my mind that the clerk wasn't going to end up letting me get my money back. DO NOT STAY AT THIS MOTEL. IT IS DISGUSTING AND WAS SHUT DOWN BY THE BOARD OF HEALTH AT ONCE POINT IN TIME DUE TO THE PREVIOUS OWNER ADMINISTERING ILLEGAL PESTICIDES TO GET RID OF BED BUGS...
Read moreWe arrived, and were surprised to see that the desk clerk had trouble finding our reservations. He eventually did, and we drove around to the rooms. The lot was potholed, and other residents were hanging outside their rooms looking like longterm tenants. My room had a hole in the window, the lights did not work in the main room and bathroom, and there was a strong stale smell in the room. The carpet was nasty looking and smelly; I kept my shoes on. When I went outside to the car, the door would not lock. My friend had the opposite issue; after opening the first time, the door would not unlock a second time. My friend went to the front desk to report the problems; the clerk came by, forced the door handle in the opposite direction, and got it open. He then asked,'How come it worked the first time?' as if it was our fault the door was faulty. I asked for a different room, and he said there were no more rooms. He then said he would give me a room on the other side. So, there WERE other rooms; he lied. At this point, we decided to not stay there. We demanded a refund, and the clerk became combative, telling us we were dealing with a booking agent, and not him. We went to the car, called the booking service, and got them to cancel the second night. They called the 'hotel' and told us that the manager refused to refund the first night's money. They got a night's income from us for nothing. A total low-class, unscrupulous, rude clerk/owner. If you want to be disrespected, insulted, and to sleep in a dirty, unsafe place, by all means stay here. You may be sick afterward; it is not clean at all. Stay away, for the safety of your family and friends. I cannot say that...

I was driving through from Iowa to the general Ann Arbor area. Late at night, tired and looking for a low cost room. The sign hanging in the office that said "No refunds after 15 minutes" said it all. I saw the sign, thought about it and then went ahead anyway.
I asked if the rooms were clean - she said Yes. I refer you back to the no refunds sign. Asked if I wanted non-smoking to which I replied Yes.
Room 104 was the scene of the Knight[MARE].
The room smelled horrible. It may classified and actually be non-smoking but it is musty and smelled of smoke.
I thought about checking for creepy crawling things but thought "no need as the lady as the desk said 'Yes' to the clean room question [refer back to the No refund sign].
I left and went on my way. Within hours I noticed several itchy spots developing on several areas of my body. I traced back through my travels for the week, the various places and things I have done. The only suspect place/thing I have been is at Knight[MARE] Inn.
As I am typing this I have a fogger going off in our house bedroom to prevent the chance the little SOB's traveled home with me. I am washing sheets twice thanks to my wife's suggestion. Dogs are outside while I spray down the carpets.
All of this to save a few lousy bucks - I spent the savings and more in the anti-itch sprays and creams along with the bed bug spray and fogging items. If you have never had bug bites like these, they itch like crazy. It is a Knight[MARE].
One last comment, to post this comment I had to select 1 Star - that is truly, truly unfortunate.
