Accommodating and friendly customer service. Christopher was friendly and personable. He greeted us upon arrival and confirmed an upgrade with availability due to our status. We were given a map with an explanation of amenities and a bag with two water bottles and a small bag of Cheezits. |Had to call and wait to get the roll a way crib (pack and play) we requested delivered to the room. It was a bit questionably stained, but worked for our little one since we brought our own sheets. The room was visibly clean and spacious although there were some minor discrepancies that didn’t bother us too much (a used glass cup at the sink, yellow stains on certain towels). Sadly, the king size bed was utterly dated and noisy. Every toss and turn my husband made was greeted with a sound like tying a rubber balloon animal. Luckily we had our little one in the other room so it didn’t wake her up. We had requested extra pillows, but was able to double up on the pillows and used the ones from the other room since the pillows were flatter than a stack of folded towels (I’m a side sleeper and needed support/ firmness). Great size fridge, although there were some short hairs (possibly lint) inside the fridge, but not as noticeable as if your German Shepard rubbed on your pant leg. Didn’t use the kitchen, but microwave came in handy when we warmed up some leftovers. The staff at breakfast were kind and welcoming. Breakfast was well above our expectations with edible scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, oatmeal, bagels, donuts, etc. All drinks and extra sides such as orange juice, salsa, syrup, or cheese were individually wrapped. I appreciated that there was a sanitizer station near the coffee and the self serve side. The hot food side was where staff would serve either on a plate or a container to go. They turned over the tables pretty quickly as there was limited seating. We were able to enjoy the outdoor pool with our little one, and there is a hot tub as well but we didn’t try. There is a sports court which looked to be a basketball hoop. Their gym had several treadmills, an elliptical, and free weights. Internet was free and was capable of streaming movies, and play online video games without lag. Proximity to a Starbucks is less than a 5 min. walk or les than a 1 min. drive to the freeway. Didn’t have any issues with outside noise such as the freeway or train, but we did slightly hear footsteps and their bed from upstairs. Overall, we would stay again...

Read moreMy recent stay at the Residence Inn Milpitas was phenomenal, as like my usual stays when here at this hotel. But this recent stay in particular I was very pleased by the hospitality and the way their staff treated me as a guest. Upon arrival, checking in was very smooth and easy. Margarita is who helped my husband and I. First off she was able to check us in early since we arrived to town earlier than expected. Going to our room, which are always amazing and very comfortable, we noticed we were next to the fire pit/smoking area. Bummer because everything else was nice, expect being close to an area where we may smell smoke if we open up the windows. (We are very sensitive to cigarette smoke, plus no one doesn’t want to smell that if you’re not a smoker) Anyway, no big deal we kindly asked if we can switch – just so that we avoid anything in the long run. Margarita was very understanding, she also agreed as she doesn’t like cigarette smoke and didn’t mind we asked to be moved. She was very gracious enough to move us, but not only did we move – she upgraded our room. I was very pleased and thankful. I did not expect an upgrade, and it was very kind of her to do so. The rooms like I said are very comfortable, whether you stay in a studio or a suite, the rooms are very spacious and comforting, and the décor adds a bit of touch making you feel like you’re at home. Thank you Margarita and the Residence Inn Milpitas staff, I definitely will be...
