This is the worst catering service I have seen in many, many years. I don’t understand why everyone is giving 5 stars to this company. I have called 8 times (8 voicemails unanswered) and sent in 4 online requests on their website. That is 12 messages. They will not contact me back! I then found their email and tried that. Radio silence, complete ghosting which is very unprofessional and frustrating. It’s been over 3 weeks of me calling almost every day. I am shocked at Tea Traditions unprofessionalism, rudeness, apparent lack of manners, and their ghosting behavior (completely ignoring all of my 12 emails, website request forms, calls, and voicemails.
How unprofessional and rude! If this business did close then why is the website still up and their voicemail box still in service? And I don’t understand why they won’t contact me back, to confirm or say they are booked for the date I need for my holiday bridal shower. I have never had a professional business ghost me before, Tea Traditions is the first!
To anyone reading this, PLEASE DO NOT WASTE your time trying to book Tea Traditions for your catering needs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They will NEVER email or call or Facebook message you back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This business is either CLOSED completely or the owner has their website domain and voicemail rigged up and is about to close the business completely. Don’t waste your time trying to contact them. Tea Traditions Catering is clearly closed and a thing of the past.
Edit: Natalie if you reached out to me like this in the texts like you have on google, I would have edited the review. Your texts to me were appalling!!! You only chose to contact me back after I had my review up for a while. You blaming me for your choice to ghost people isn’t fair or accurate. In the texts: you were using any excuse to have it stick/land. You never apologized or owned it. If you did I would have deleted it. Instead you chose to blame me for your horrible ghosting/life journey, and tried to use weird emotional manipulation. I don’t like that! And I don’t let people bully me (like you attempted to) into doing what they want. Because re reading your texts it’s how that comes across. Bullying, blaming, weird emotional manipulation. And your excuses that you used in the texts, contradict the circumstances. How can you be temporarily holding your business yet still have a month long thing in Walnut Creek and have over 100 clients served this year? Makes zero sense. As a disabled woman with 2 incurable diseases, I was afraid to contact you back. Especially to get such language in your texts! I’ve never had a business owner message me like that, especially when I didn’t do anything wrong. I will pray for you to get through whatever you are going through!!! The words you chose and tone in the texts makes me not want to edit this review. I had to block you! Because yikes it’s scary for someone like that to text you in the New Year! And I can show my call/web history. It was many calls and emails and forms...
Read moreWe worked with Tea Traditions for our end-of-year party for around 35-40 people and Natalie and her staff delivered! Natalie assessed our needs and recommended the perfect package given our dietary restrictions and event size. She was very professional throughout the whole process, checking in with us before the event to reassure us that everything would be great. She even made time to hop on a call with us to sort out the menu during the planning process too, and it made working with Tea Traditions such a breeze and a pleasure.
On the day of, she came in at the time she promised and set things up beautifully, our guests were RAVING about the black tea! The sandwiches were also delicious, and the presentation was on POINT.
We're working with Tea Traditions again for our big Diploma Ceremony for an Academic Program for 200+ people and again, the process of booking Tea Traditions was so painless, and Natalie is so thoughtful that we will definitely make Tea Traditions a staple caterer to work with...
Read moreI had Tea Traditions cater a surprise 95th birthday party for my mother on 2/1/25. We had roughly 30 guests. It was awesome! Natalie was wonderful to work with. My sister (and party co-host) lives out of state, and Natalie made herself available for conference calls to address questions and finalize details. She made suggestions but was never pushy about options. She walked us through what she thought was best and why based on previous events she'd catered. We were [wrongly] concerned about having enough food for the male guests, and she was flexible about adding in additional platters, etc. As it happened, we indeed over-ordered (our decision, we figured better too much than too little). The food was excellent, we received lots of compliments from the guests. The teacups and table linens definitely added to the ambiance. The pricing was transparent and exactly as discussed. Natalie was on time, efficient and friendly. I would 100% use Tea Traditions again and would highly...
