STAY AWAY!!!
WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I would give them negative rating, if I could. Front desk employee should be fired.
I wanted to extend my stay for one extra night.
Front service employee was gone for 10+ minutes. In this time, I sat down, ate breakfast, checked back, he was still gone.
I waited for a bit longer, called the number that was posted at the front desk for "immediate assistance", what do you know, the front desk phone rang right infront of me, so I hung up.
I had to leave for a job, otherwise I would be late. So, I wrote up a quick note, then left it at the desk. What else was I supposed to do? My bags were still in the room. My time had run out and I had to leave. Because the front desk attended had been GONE for 20+ minutes at this point. Extremely irresponsible, if you ask me.
Finally, I see someone who looks like they work there walking in, just as I am walking away. "Oh, good!" I said, "You work here? I just left a note. I would like to extend my stay."
He then DENIED me to extend my stay, and acted extremely rude about me leaving a note on his desk, telling me I wasn't allowed to do that and that I am BANNED from staying at that hotel. EXCUSE ME?!
Not to mention, I looked, and there were security cameras on the wall, so the security footage would vindicate me. PLUS, my note was RIGHT there, clearly indicating my intentions, and he had been gone for 20+ minutes. I pointed this out, but he kept being rude and unreasonable.
He kept repeating that there is absolutely no reason ever why it should be ok for me to walk behind the desk.
There was no one there. My stuff was in my room. I would not have been back by 11am, which is the checkout time.
He was EXTREMELY unreasonable and unkind. What could have been a quick interaction turned into a big ordeal thay caused me to be late for my job. I have had bad experiences in customer service before, but NOTHING to this extent.
Like I said, WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!
Obviously, I'm not from the area, I'm staying at a hotel. You don't know what's going on in someone's life, what they're dealing with. Especially if you work in CUSTOMER SERVICE, you should help your paying customers out, not make their lives harder by making up your own rules. Again, awful, awful experience. This man's indifference, lack of empathy, and bad service caused a whole snowball effect of other problems for me, and my work. But that's not the point, what matters is that customer service employees be kind to their (paying!) customers and try to understand and help them, not condemn them for a small infraction, despite that I didn't do anything wrong! Granted, they could have been completely booked and sold out of rooms for the next night, and that would have been a different story. I would've grabbed my stuff and left, it wouldn't have screwed up my plans as bad as this man's complete lack of empathy for a young woman on a business trip. Sir, I hope you read this and you...
Read moreI checked in as a diamond rewards member. No upgrade. No welcome gift. Nothing. I was given room 125. I quickly learned that room 125 had a not so welcome gift in it in the form of a man sitting in his underwear, working on his computer. I returned to the front desk (after apologizing for interrupting the quasi-naked man), and asked if I could have a naked-man-less room instead. Rather than assigning me a new room, the clerk insisted that he need to see this for himself. Halfway there, he exclaimed, "Oh, that room is out of commission - that's one of our employees." Needless to say, this left more questions than answers. Nonetheless, we returned to the front desk (with me carrying my stuff and guiding my rather grumpy dog through all of this) and I was assigned room 108. Most of the lamps in 108 worked, which was important as drawing the drapes was necessary because the window provided a great view of the parking lot / walkway and also a great view of my room from there. The TV did not work, but the clerk came quickly and was able to get it to do so. Water pressure was good. There was plenty of hot water. The faux marble sink, however, has been disintegrating for some years and looks pretty awful. The cover for the shower controls is missing, but at least they still work. Thankfully, the A/C worked well. Though the room had a faint smell of cigarette smoke, it was tolerable though not particularly welcome. The board holding the shower rod appears to be dislocated from its original location - not sure if it was loose and didn't check it. Breakfast waffle was good. Would have appreciated some other options - yogurt, cereal, fruit besides apples? But for what it was, breakfast was ok. The rear door to the building does not appear to shut, making it a bit concerning as the area doesn't appear to be upscale. What can I say? It's a cheap hotel that comes off as just that. Would I stay there again? In a pinch, sure. When I booked it, I thought it said the pet fee was $20. When I arrived, it was $25. On the inside of my room door, it was $15. That's frustrating, too, but at least it was $75 like many Marriott hotels. Again, not my first choice. Truly bad first impression. Not great overall impression. And as for location, if you want to be close to a dispensary, it can't be beat. There are two within easy...
Read moreLesson learned, you get what you pay for. My husband, the kids and I all arrived around 5:15pm-5:30pm well after the 3pm check in time. Got there and the check in process took forever as apparently they were having issues with their system. Hoping there won't be any random charges on the first card we tried which said on our end approved but apparently on their end not.. so we will see.
Anyways, finally get checked in and try to find our room. It's on the 2nd floor. Well you wouldn't think it was an issue with all your luggage except... they don't have an elevator. Lug our stuff up to our room to find a toilet brush still in the toilet, wet and sticky floors, pillows and linens everywhere, a spray bottle of cleaner left on the bathroom counter. Remember we checked in well after the normal 3pm check in... got a new room after all that. The place on the outside and inside is pretty run down. Walls peeling in the bathroom, the sink surface peeling away, old pull out couch and just very outdated. Oh and the rooms clearly did not get thoroughly cleaned.. I found old Biscuits and gravy in my microwave the next morning. Their pool is not open so if you have kids or you want to swim yourself you have to go to their sister hotel (econo lodge) to swim. They didn't let us swim from 10am (when the pool opened) until 10:45am before check out at 11am. Our check out process was also awful.. they couldn't figure out how to check us out so we were unsure if we would get our 100 dollar deposit back. Figured it out finally but it took us going back to the hotel 3 different times after.... also housekeeping was late.. we were told they couldn't get into lost and found until housekeeping showed up to get things we left in the first room. Finally got our missing items when housekeeping decided to show up... Location is odd as well.. buried behind 3 pot shops in a very dim/poorly lit lot. Oh and the card to get inside didnt work at every door but dont worry the side entrance to the left of the hotel doesnt lock. Just pull and it will open Didnt make me feel safe whatsoever being on the main floor... I'll be staying at the Hilton next time.. steer clear of this place.. turned what was supposed to be a stress free weekend into a nightmare. Oh and don't bother asking for a corporate number. They are a franchise and do not have a...
