Sadly I have to leave an honest experience in which an item was not fulfilled but I was charged for it, and then insulted by management for attempting to rectify it.
The experience itself would be disappointing alone, but it was the attempt to fix the situation that left me with no choice but to leave a review.
This is the only place I chose to shop because of their nice online interface, and word of mouth recommendations. I live out of state so it was nice to have a preferred place in an area with many many other choices.
The order was three different items, and sadly I simply trusted the staff to put every item in the bag, and did not watch them do it personally. I was charged for the three items I had done via online order and began my drive home. Halfway there I dumped out the bag on the seat and noticed only two items. Thinking they just combined two into one ziplock, i checked the labels and to my surprise no, only the bottom two items on my receipt were present.
I called King of Budz and spoke to two nice team members who didn't inform me of what the process would be, i was simply asked if the phone number I was calling from was valid. I got no call back so I called again to explain the situation, i found it odd that they didn't ask for my transaction number or name, just the item missing.
I finally receive a call not from the manager, but someone else claiming that the manager watched the security footage and the items were all fulfilled and "they are in your bag you left with". At this point, knowing it's simply a battle of word vs word I assume my money has been stolen and the least i can do is ask the manager what the process for this verdict was.
The manager named "Jay" was exasperated from the second he picked up the phone, instead of introducing himself he just sighs heavily and goes "yeah?".
I attempted to appeal to Jay's nice gesture by revealing that I also work in customer service, and to go through the security feeds is very much a pain so I appreciate his help, that I understand that that isn't a fun thing to have to do on a busy day as a manager. i try to give him my transaction number and try to ask of there's any possibility that inventory will be the better evidence. He laughs often at all of my appeals and cuts me off from finishing a sentence in between his laughs. Since he was laughing and eventually says "I'm not calling you a liar but it's in that bag you left with hahaha!". So I felt powerless, so I just say to him that I suppose he has no intention to fix this.
After that he did offer me a partial credit for the missing item which I am grateful for, but i feel that Jay really was not interested in assisting a customer's injustice at his store, and was in fact more interested in conveying hostility toward a former customer.
I understand consumers' power is waning and corporate power is basically the rule of law now, but maybe my review can warn others to take extra care at this and other King of Budz locations when choosing where to shop, and always ask the staff to double...

06/01/2024 Made a trip in yesterday 05/31/2024. I believe her name was Samantha, she was yet another badass bud tender. I have had her before and was very impressed with her knowledge. Great time as usual. Sorry for delay in review, but dang ,I have been floating since I hit interstate 75.

12/16/23 Holy smokes. I thought I have had some kick ass bud tenders. Well today I had top notch.Not sure if I will spell her name correctly but it was Monet'. She was on station 1. Best service ever. Enjoyed my time at the bar. She was great with her upsales. Thanks again girl. See you again soon. Left about an hour ago and the buzz is amazing 😜
Had my 1st ever experience at King Of Budz. I was not disappointed. The drive and standing in line was worth it. I will be returning 😉 03/02/23 I need to add to my review. I have come back to King of Budz. Just like i said i would. It was my birthday weekend. The 17th of Feb to be exact. Ashley was my BudTender. And let me tell you, she was the bomb. About 6 weeks ago when I was purchasing in-store I had them price check a vape for me - I decided not to buy it. After leaving and returning back to Ohio I checked my receipt and was charged for the vape I didn’t purchase. I called and told them the situation, they offered to give me my money back or just add the credit to my account. Since I was back in Toledo I just had them add the store credit since I knew I was going to be back. Fast forward a month, I place an online order for curbside pickup. When I get there I mentioned the store credit to the employee who came out to help me, she came back out and told me they wouldn’t honor it and that she would be happy to send her manager out to talk to us. When the manager came out, I explained to him the situation (it was the same manager I spoke to on the phone) He refused to honor my store credit because “it’s been over a month since it happened” I was never given a deadline to use it I live in Toledo, I’m only there every 4-6 weeks I explained to him that I spoke to him on the phone when it happened and he immediately cut me off to say “Okay, what’s my name then?” as if I was lying about speaking to him (and like it would even prove anything, again it’s been over a month why would I remember some managers name?) then he goes on to tell me that he remembers our conversation on the phone (then why are you even trying to test me?) BUT he still can’t offer me the store credit that he gave me — “because it’s been over a month” This wasn’t store credit that they gave me as an inconvenience or a perk or something, if that was the case then I wouldn’t have even batten an eye. I gave them $25 for something I never bought, they had $25 of my money and were refusing to give it back AFTER THEY SAID THEY WOULD WITHOUT MENTIONING AN EXPIRATION. (Purchased credits legally can only expire after 5 years btw — federal law) Long story short, the staff is great, the dark haired male manager is not. He will try to flex his managerial muscles so hard before he makes anything right. With dispensaries being a dime a dozen in Monroe, maybe you guys should focus on customer retention instead of assuming every customer is trying to...
