Super 8 by Wyndham Mt Pleasant — Hotel in Mount Pleasant

I used to be a housekeeper nearly two years ago so I tried to be forgiving at first. But then it just got worse and worse.

The shower was hardly cleaned it seemed, there were random hairs in it when we arrived (that were also not the colors of me or my mother’s hair), not to mention the two used soap bars left in the shower. The shower also had a hole in the side that water would fall in to, so I can’t even imagine the mold inside of there. The body towel I used after my shower had stains on it, indicating it wasn’t properly cleaned. We had to wear our shoes the entire time inside the room because otherwise our feet would turn black from dirt. The top blanket on both beds had stains on them, indicating they also were not fully cleaned. Not to mention the blankets themselves were just plain rough and uncomfortable. The air conditioning in our room would blow out cold air, however our room remained very hot and me and my mother did not sleep because we kept waking up due to the heat and also the sound of the system turning on and off (even though we had it set to medium and not auto).

It was an awful stay, and again let me repeat that I used to be a housekeeper so I tried to be kind at first, because I would forget things sometimes too, because room after room gets repetitive and your brain goes into autopilot and occasionally you forget things. But it got too rough. Let me also add that I know the feeling of the sheets and the air conditioning is not the fault of the house keeping crew. Would not recommend staying...

Poor excuse for a motel to say the least . Bad attitudes from the staff and management . Would not recommend this for a place to stay .room smelled like an ash tray even though it was a non-smoking room , Construction workers were constantly using the "Mother F -r words to describe the guests as well as the manager , However I tend to agree with their description of the manager . Not kid friendly with all the foul words being thrown around . I watched the construction throw trash in the weeds while the dumpster they had as only 60 feet away .Way to much effort to take it to the proper place to dispose , make you wonder what the other work that got covered up looks like . Over all if you don't mind the ash tray smell and the foul language being thrown around , this is your place . Go next door , several motels within 100 feet .Requested a call from the manger or owner and was told "no" . She didn't want me to have her cell phone number as it would appear on my phone and with that I asked her to call the motel and they could transfer the call to the room . That feature was broke on the phone system . ? Really.? I could go on but that's enough . If you choose to stay , you been warned . The l ad shows they are a BBB member . I just called the BBB of Southeast Iowa and they advised they are...

This property has no cable service, i’m not sure if they had an outage or didn’t pay their bill. Everything was good until i got situated in my room an attempted to turn on the tv. The screen read “No Signal”.and called the front desk for assistance and that’s when the manager told me, in a roundabout way, there’s no service. Since they already got my money, I asked for something extra off of my bill and he acted like he didn’t know what I was talking about and ultimately he said he will “talk to the guy”. but never was specific with who he was going to talk to plus he didn’t even offer an apology for my inconvenience. Luckily for me I had my ipad and I streamed tv service from that (Based on my experience, I’m certain I have way more programming options in my little device than they have their whole hotel). Don’t be fooled by the cheap rate, you get what you pay for….You’d think that he would’ve valued me more as a customer considering there are at least 3 other hotels within this property’s radius that I could’ve chosen (and now I wish I did).
