I was very disappointed with my stay at the inn. Upon arrival everything seemed fine, the room was in decent shape, had a really funny smell and not the nicest but ok for the price. Our room also backed straight up to a dumpster that was being slammed until 10:30 pm. We went out for the evening and once we got back we were stuck in between a very loud group of people that had 4 rooms surrounding us. The first night we were kept up until 3 am. We complained to the office 3 times and also called 3 times about it but the noise continued. We were told the rooms were full and they couldn't move us but that they would try to talk to them. On the second night the noise was even louder and once again kept us up until 3 am. When I brought it to the managers attention like I was told to she berated me and asked why I didn't use the emergency phone when I called and complained 6 times in total. I was told simply that it is a party town. The walls here are literally made of paper and I bet if you stay here you'll had wished you went anywhere else. There's plenty of good places to stay with actual customer service. Nichole and Kimberly you are the worst and shouldn't work in hospitality. Their sister motel who is ran by the same people is Shasta Inn so I recommend not staying...
Read moreI have stayed here at the strawberry valley inn many times over the past few years and each experience has always exceeded my expectations for a small town inn. The location, staff, and charming appearance of the inn make it worth it to me. The rooms are always very clean and I feel safe here. With prices of dining out being high, I really appreciated the complementary breakfast. It was great to know each morning I could get some protein, fruit, and a waffle if I wanted. I’d consider their breakfast a step above the continental. The harvest restaurant next door at their sister property the Shasta inn is truly something special for dinner, I was not expecting such a fine dining experience. I believe a local family owns and operates both! The front desk woman, Shyanne, I believe is her name.. is so thoughtful and understanding. She went above and beyond to give me local recommendations for dining, hiking, and relaxing. One night I locked myself out of my room after midnight by accident and within minutes she was there to help with a new key and was so kind about it. If you’re looking for small town magic and want to feel taken care of, this is the place. Also, the rose and flower garden in front of the beautiful lawn is so lovely...
Read moreBasically this was a cute motel. My wife and I were looking for a quiet stay which it was. We were also looking forward to the morning breakfast which is located in a very cute kitchen living room area of a converted home. It is open from 8:00 until 9:30am. I asked the young gal (Azalea) at check in, if we arrived in the morning around 9:15am would that be a problem. She said no, that they stop taking people after 9:30 but anyone arriving up to 9:30 will receive full service.
We arrived about 9:15 this morning. There was another person at the front desk named Ole. She was helping some guests and said for us to be seated and she would be right in. We helped ourselves to some coffee and toast, nothing else was available. She finally came in at 9:50. No apology and basically said there really wasn’t anything available. There really wasn’t any other help available, which is managements fault but VERY disappointing to say the lease. Being a cute place, doesn’t in any way, make up for poor or...
