What a terrific golf course! Tucked into the hills 3.5 miles from the city of Brookings, this gem of a course was so much fun to golf. After reading several reviews in which other golfers reported the course was "challenging" or "extremely challenging", I felt a little intimidated. The drive to the course is lovely and the setting, with trees and water hazards, actually reminded me of our home course. Sure, those steep cart paths to some of the tee boxes can make a first time visitor take pause, but the course was a joy to play. As we stood on the first tee (I was hitting from the green tees) I made the decision to not try for any hero shots, but rather set up to get over whatever hazards we came across. Wayward balls can be easily lost forever here, especially on the back tees on 8 with that narrow chute. Also, they had just punched and sanded their greens a few days before we played, but they weren't bad. This course is definitely well maintained and it shows. We can't wait to play here again on our next trip...
Read moreI brought my 15 year old daughter in for a job interview. She asked me to go in with her. I got in 1 minute after my daughter went in. She was seated waiting. A grey haired woman came out and asked me who i was. I said that i was the girl she was going to interview's mom. She asked, "Are you looking for a job here?" I told her "No." She said she was going to interview my daughter like a "regular adult" so I could wait outside. My daughter is not an adult and the store was already open. So why was i being kicked out of Subway? I was a bit confused. This manager was so rude and hateful and for no reason that i could fathom. I'll be contacting the owner. Weird that my daughter told her initially that she was 15 and this person wanted to meet her alone, telling a mother of a minor to leave. And why treat a potential customer that way? I will never go...
Read moreAt 08.09.2025 at 2:47 pm we were served the #Nastiest tuna sandwich ever made by the woman who rushed my order while getting it wrong. She would condescendingly say, “anything else, anything else,” before I was even done with the last request. Tasted like old cat food smells— Next time we order a tuna sandwich for my son, I’ll go to #Panera or #JerseyMikes. The young men working that day were polite. However, all of the tables were extremely dirty although people were coming off and on their shift / standing around talking with each other. It appears no one there truly cares about the customers or the appearance / offerings of the shop. I almost requested another person make our sándwich as I didn’t want to absorb whatever bad energy the lady who prepped it was holding —but of course, we prayed over it. Hope there is another sandwich shop...
