Bel Abri Napa Valley Inn — Hotel in Napa

We had the absolute best stay at the Bel Abri Inn! It was our first Napa trip and we wantes to be located within walking distance of downtown. As I was researching, this cute property fit the bill and we loved that there is a complimentary breakfast also.

We arrived in Oakland at 8am and I called to see if we could drop off our luggage early, versus having it in the car all day as we visited wineries. They said sure, and we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived that they said our room was actually ready and we could check in. It was a huge bonus to be able to freshen up before heading back out!

Our room was huge and adorably decorated. The bed was outrageously comfy and we appreciated having a setup to open and enjoy wine, as well as a fridge. Though we didn't need it, there is a full-size dresser that would make longer stays easy.

We were visiting just for a short stay, so unfortunately we didn't make the evening wine and cheese reception, but we heard great things! We did get to enjoy breakfast, and they actually give a choice of dining here or right across the street at their sister property. Bel Abri has a traditional cold continental breakfast, while the Elm House had hot items including made-to-order waffles. We scoped both out and chose the hot breakfast and were highly impressed! Parking is also complimentary, making the Bel Abri a tremendous value.

Had never been here so this was an adventure! Staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Lobby clean and inviting. Convenience to downtown and outlet stores spot on. Although the roundabout was a bit busy during commute time it quieted down substantially soon after 6 p.m. And even with the highway being fairly close by, the inside was quiet. The room was very clean, fresh, roomy, well appointed, comfortable with table to sit and eat indoors and also another out on your private patio. Fresh, soft robes provided. Deep tub in our room. Bed sooooo comfortable (hubby and I usually sleep separate due to loud snoring on his part but he was so comfy I heard nothing from him!). A/C worked well and was not too noisy at all. The only problem for me - and this is MY fault for not asking - was we were in a room next to the elevator. ACK!!! Were woken up at 4:15 a.m. and the loud 'Clunk!, Clunk!' continued throughout the morning. Bummer! Had I understood we were going to be sharing a wall with the lift, I would have asked for something different. Suggestion to management; luggage rack was rickety and needs a fix and it would be helpful to have the soap dispenser next to the sink instead of the lotion (merely a suggestion). The inn was very cute and the rooms (for the most part) are very nice!!! The bedding as everyone else described truly were amazing. I wanted to buy them but there was no pricing information you had to ask the front desk about it. Which is where the problems lied. The gentleman that helped us check in was kind and warmed up slowly; however the lady the next morning who was supposed to be training the new employee left a lot to be desired. When my father shared that he had to go to the store in the middle of the night to get a screwdriver to help my mother escape from the bathroom, the lady at the front asked if he had broken the door handle. Not apologizing for the inconvenience or asking if my mother was ok. I had to explain to her that the door handle was broken already and that was why my mother was stuck in the bathroom. She then explained to the trainee that she needed to leave a note for the cleaning crew and that was it. After that she did not speak to us again, even when we were checking out. If it wasn't for the wine tasting at 5pm, the initial gentleman we met and the amazing bedding I would have given this place an even lower rating because of the poor...
