The room had a lot of charm with its vintage style and pretty decor, but the bathroom was very old and urgently needed renovation. It was difficult to take a shower. We spent five days at the Harlem Grand, and for four of those days, we had to get used to taking cold showers or standing in stagnant water because the bathtub was clogged. Keylen welcomed us warmly and provided all the necessary information for our stay. She told us we could message her if we needed anything, but she only responded once before disappearing, which was a small disappointment. Overall, the stay was enjoyable and I really liked the vintage style. However, the price is too high for what we received, and the place really needs a complete renovation.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay in Harlem Grand. The room service was great and the communication went just fine. We also used the small (shared) kitchen for breakfast. 125 St Subway Station is a 5min walk and from there you get to Midtown pretty quickly! You can also walk to Central Park within 15min. The house itself is kinda old and traditional, which is cool, but sometimes the drain of the sink didn’t work properly and the shower took some time to get warm. But other than that everything was perfect and we recommend this place!

After reading various reviews We decided on going to The Harlem Grand for my first time visit to New York.||If you are into something different to the straight sanitary lines of a Modern Hotel then this could be the place for you.||My first, and lets be honest, a very important point is the sleep quality.||This was the most comfortable sleep that I have had ever (away from my own bed)||The bed in room 10 was high, firm and OOOOHHHH so comfortable.||5 nights of sleeping bliss. It was amazing for myself and my partner.||I could just go on about this subject but I am sure you would like to hear about more than the bed.||Situated a short stroll from 125th street metro (which will get you anywhere) it is a lovely brown stone building with a very interesting history and is kept and owned by Kellyn. She is a lovely warm natured woman with a heart of gold. We did have a little trouble getting on the internet to start with but that was speedily sorted out by her.||I found Kellyn approachable and warm. Also learning the history of the building was so interesting. I could have talked with her for hours.||Ok||The rest of the building.||As you walk in there is a sitting room with so many delightful things to look at. It is a house with an enormous character and we loved it.||Our room (10) was gorgeous and filled with stylish things that just turn your eyes. The bed was huge and it was gorgeous.||The Warmth you feel inside is like being welcomed into somebody's home.||Clean,,,,,,,,,,Absolutely ||we didn't need the heating as we were lucky to have picked a warm week to go.||didn't need the airco as the cieling fan was silent and more than enough||Bath/shower was great and powerful enough, with plenty of hot water.||shabby chic comes to mind and we love that.||||Remember. Most people go to a hotel or B&B to sleep.||That is something that you can do so well here||We have no hesitation in recommending the Harlem Grand to anybody and would we return||||OMG! YES!!||||Thank you Kellyn for our wonderful...

HARLEM GRAND: A Gem in Historic Harlem!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

(GRAB A CUP OF COFFEE...THIS REVIEW WILL TAKE A MINUTE)

I had the pleasure of staying at this stunning brownstone (9/22/24-9/27/24) in the heart of Historic Harlem, and it was everything I could have hoped for and more! Arriving totally stressed about the task ahead of me, Kellyn, the owner, was incredibly gracious, making me feel welcome and was very responsive to any questions that I had.

From the moment I stepped inside, I was blown away by the elegant charm of the space. The brownstone itself is a perfect blend of classic architecture and modern comforts, with high ceilings, gorgeous woodwork, and stylish decor that made my stay truly special.

The room was immaculate, spacious, and cozy, and had a peaceful vibe. Kellyn's attention to every single detail from the bedding, lighting, and fixtures, room layout to the shower curtains, was impeccable!!

The location is unbeatable—on a quiet, tree-lined street just a short walk to the culture, restaurants, public transportation and arts and culture Harlem is known for.

This BnB is truly a gem! If you're looking for a unique and authentic experience in one of NYC’s most historic and culturally rich neighborhoods, this is the place to stay. I can't wait to return!

I left NYC feeling restored, uplifted, and cared for.

I would be remiss if I did not mention,  Mariela, the housekeeper and to thank her for all the hard work and care she put into making my stay so wonderful. The room was always clean, and I could tell that she took great pride in what she did and made all the difference in creating such a warm and welcoming environment.

Your hard work does not go unnoticed, and it truly added to my incredible experience there.

THANK YOU, KELLYN & MARIELA.  Wishing you all the best, and I hope to return...

There’s a lot made about Harlem and all the wonderful things you can see and and rightly so. But in the midst of this legendary location, is the Hotel Grand, Harlem right in the heart of Harlem.|We stayed there for a few days and I cannot pay enough compliments to Kellyn our host. Not only did she provide the most sincere and warmest of welcomes, she welcomed us in to her home with open arms in the most generous and friendly of manners I’ve never experienced at any hotel.|Staying at Kellyn’s is truly a home from home experience, with the added advantage of staying in a real Harlem brownstone, steeped in authentic history and character and warmth, decorated to reflect the glory of a bygone era. ||Kellyn is beyond kind and thoughtful of others needs. She goes way beyond the extra mile. Her thoughtfulness, sincerity, and ability to treat guests as beloved family members is one of the things that make the Harlem Grand a truly wonderful and memorable experience - standing heads and shoulders above other hotels in the area. |If you’re looking to experience the taste, feel and warmth of Harlem in a relaxed homely environment of the highest of standards, look no further than the Harlem Grand. A treasure in the city of New York with a real local treasure in the shape of...
