CASTLE 351 — Hotel in New York

Our stay at the Castle really felt like staying in the castle! Sid is a wonderful host that always made sure that we had what we needed throughout our stay. Very spacious rooms with various themes to add a little extra flavour! Our room was equipped with a microwave and mini fridge as well.

A slight downside was the bathroom situation since there was work being done in the castle, it limited us to the one shower upstairs, but it wasn’t the end of the world. Especially considering that the work is being done to improve the castle overall.

The location is EXTRAORDINARY! In the heart of Harlem, 3 minute walk to 125th subway station which connects to every main line to go downtown to Manhattan. Lots of food spots around the castle as well and not too far from a big park, 10 min walk to central park approximately so you really couldn’t ask for better.

I was a little skeptical of the beds at first given the thin mattresses but my friend and I both had great sleep! Very cozy room, and spacious.

The castle is a perfect spot to stay in but also to host many events, we noticed lots of big rooms with TVs and speakers perfect for any event. The shower upstairs was nice with good water pressure. I loved staying at the beautiful brownstone Castle and the location, a very convenient and safe neighborhood only a few blocks from the main street and right next to a family friendly park. There were nice cafes (including LGBTQ featured ones), restaurants, and vegetarian dinners near the house, and those historical churches in the area seemed to be popular among the tourists from all over the world. The house was a few mins walk to/from 125th Street Station and the A train took me to NY Penn Station in 10-15mins, so I had easy access to mid-lower Manhattan. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a lot of natural light coming in, and I remember the house was very quiet throughout the day because it was located on a residential street.
