We stayed at The Bryant Park Hotel for 11 nights late August/September 2024 and this would have to be the most special hotel we have ever stayed in firstly because of the staff - Scott, Jo, Shannen, Kieran, Todd, Zauul and Dwight, their joint love of great customer service, great conversation and a genuine interest in making sure we had a great stay, the most beautiful rooms and the most perfect location. ||Situated right across the road from the entrance to Bryant Park, it is an amazing location with so many great amenities within their block between 5th & 6th Avenue on West 40th Street. The hotel is definitely an oasis in the middle of this busy beautiful city and was always so nice to come back to at night or to just walk across the road and sit and relax in Bryant Park with a coffee or wine. ||We had a 6 night stay, 2 days upstate and then came back for another 5 nights. We had paid for Junior Suites for both our stays and we very lucky to be given brand new rooms on the 6th and then 9th floor with such nice views over Bryant Park. There were ear pods beside our bed and we expected it to be noisey but couldn't hear a thing! The rooms are really beautiful and way larger than any NYC hotel we have stayed in. The bathroom is probably bigger than alot of hotel rooms. It felt just like your own beautiful room in your house.||Every morning we (well I) would go downstairs and get coffee and muffins from the foyer and have in our room before we headed out for the day. It was great coffee, and the muffins were delicious. When I decided to venture out and get something for breakfast in our room, the selection of places just within that one block are amazing, so much choice. ||This was the 9th time we had stayed in NYC, always prior abit close to Times Square (this is only a couple of blocks away), but we just loved coming back to this quiet Oasis, the staff and our room at The Bryant Park. We will definitely be back same time next year.||I probably can't emphasise enough how great the staff in this hotel are. Every time we came or went they acknowledged us, knew our names and were interested in what we were doing. I have never experienced that before in a hotel of this size. They truly love what they are doing and love taking care of their guests. ||Thanks so much The Bryant Park Hotel, New York City - we loved our time, your location, rooms and the staff are the best. Oh, and the weather was perfect for our entire stay.||Love,...
Read moreWe stayed here in November 2021 as part of our honeymoon. We opted to stay at another NYC hotel for our actual wedding night, but then transferred to the Bryant Park Hotel for the remainder of our stay (5 nights total). The location is nice and the view we had of Bryant Park was excellent, but beyond that, there was nothing special about this place that would make me come back again...especially considering the price.
Over the five nights we stayed, we had two interactions with staff, neither of which went well. After first checking in and getting into our room, we called the front desk for some extra hangers. We were told that they would be sent right up...five days later, still no hangers. When we were checking out, we left our bags as we had a later flight. We also pre-arranged a car service to take us to the airport at a specific time. When we returned to the hotel at the alotted time, there was no ride. We waited almost half an hour, while being told numerous times that it was running late and it was almost here and that traffic was bad. Well, it was quite evident that they had forgotten to make the arrangements because after waiting all the time, we were told our cab had arrived? No idea what happened to the SUV we had arranged. Why would it take half an hour for a cab to arrive, I could've walked outside and simply flagged on down (which is obviously what they did).
The lobby was not very inviting. They have a front desk/reception area to the left when you walk in the main doors; however, there is also a secondary 'security' desk as soon as you walk in, which is the only desk that seems to be used (the other reception area never seemed to be used). They boast about having 24 hour security, well the one night we walked in, the person sitting at the desk was full out asleep in the chair (it was about 1am) and we simply walked by him to the elevators.
All in all, won't be returning to this hotel. Rooms were very modern and spacious, but not worth the price they charge. They also boast about having muffins and coffee available in the lobby...which they did, but neither of which looked very inviting (small table with a handful of muffins and a...
Read moreWe booked last minute for our first trip to NYC for New Year's in Times Square. Our stay was fantastic! The staff were very polite, helpful, and ready to assist at anytime with any of our questions or needs.
We were greeted cheerfully at the door in our car as we pulled up. The doorman promptly answered our initial questions, unloaded our bags, and directed us to the self park a couple blocks away. We got checked-in quickly with our bags brought to the room as we took the car to the parking lot. My only disappointment is there is no parking onsite, however it's too be expected in a city like NYC & less than a 5 minute walk.
The room was well furnished, not too fancy, but not bland either. We were upgraded to the king bed, which was a nice surprise. There is a nice sitting area with a table to eat at. The bed was very comfortable and we got a very good night's sleep. The TV is modern, with OnDemand programming & Chrome Cast support, which was quite nice. The bathroom is very modern, with both a standing shower and large tub. Great water pressure and the hot water was very hot! The mini bar & in-room snacks are well stocked, reasonably priced.
Room service is available all night, with great late night eats! Noting like some good snack food & sushi at 2am after freezing in Times Square for hours! It took a little over half hour for the food to arrive, which was hot & fresh.
The location is great, Bryant park across the street is beautiful. We enjoyed walking over at night & spending time in the park. It's a nice short walk to Times Square & if you wanted to go further the Metro is right at the corner. Unfortunately we didn't get to checkout the onsite amenities, but there's always next time.
We'll definitely be staying here again and would highly...
