We attempted to stay at the Knights Inn Palmyra on September 20, 2024 overnight for a concert in Hershey. Room 226. Our reservation was under my husband’s name. What I will say is, please believe the negative reviews and do NOT stay here. It looks tempting because it is priced significantly less than other hotels in the area. But do NOT waste your money.
Upon entering our room, it was clear that the pictures online are not representative of what our room looked like. I can’t speak for other rooms in the hotel, but our room was old, filthy, and filled with BUGS. The walls, window, and curtains were covered in stink bugs. I would approximate 30 or so stink bugs. I spent 15 minutes collecting them with toilet paper and flushing them down the toilet.
Being skeeved out, I looked around the room further and noticed all of the issues in the attached pictures. Stains on the sheets and box spring cover which resemble stains left behind by bed bugs. Dead bugs in the carpet around the base of the bed (not sure of the species.) Food crumbs left in the carpet. The room was musty, dirty, and damp.
I Googled reviews, which I wish I had done before booking, and saw all of the horrific comments - including MULTIPLE about bed bugs. We immediately grabbed our belongings, handed the keys back, and told the front desk associate we absolutely could not stay there because the room was filthy.
Reading the Google reviews, I see that the owners deny any wrongdoing to their customers and threaten legal action when they receive negative comments. I can verify these accusations as we got the same run-around by management. When asking and, ultimately, demanding a refund, they denied that the room was unclean and falsely accused us of using the hotel amenities - therefore denying us our refund. When we tried calling, they pretended we reached a wrong number, said this wasn’t the Knights Inn, hung up on us, and either turned off their phone or blocked our number. We booked through Priceline and when Priceline attempted to contact them, they gave the same run-around and lied about the conditions of the room. I will be taking every action possible to get my money back. I will be posting negative reviews on every platform and plan to report them to the Better Business Bureau if not resolved.
Do not, under any circumstances, deal with these SCAMMERS. Save yourself the money and headache.
EDIT Since requesting a refund, owners falsely accused us of trashing the room and leaving it in such a bad condition that they could not rent it that night after we left. The truth is we made the room cleaner by killing 30+ stink bugs and we pulled the sheets back to inspect the bed because we saw bed bug stains on the bedding. They also falsely accused us of bringing outside guests into the room. We were there all of 15 minutes before we decided we needed to stay somewhere else. Owners are sleazy scumbags. Already contacted the Better Business Bureau who will be in touch with the owners. Give me my refund and I’ll...

Read moreDO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! This was the absolute worst experience I could have imagined. Not only were the workers incredibly rude from the beginning but when we had to ask for a refund they yelled at us because they failed to provide us service. We checked in around 5 on a Friday. Our first rooms bathroom was flooded. Not a big deal, we let them know and they gave us a new room. The new rooms door lock did not work with the card keys. When we told them about this issue they opened our door and said they would change the lock. But they didn’t give us new keys to the room. So when we can home from the wedding we were attending at around 10:30 the doors were locked and our keys didn’t work. We were stranded there and had to sleep in our car because they failed to provide us with working keys, answer the phone when we called to get the door unlocked, or provide the 24/hr service they claimed to have. Since we did not get to actually spend the second night in the hotel due to their negligence, we asked for a partial refund. We were met with yelling and false accusations. It could not have been a worse experience. Do NOT stay at this hotel. EDIT: I feel it’s important to mention that this terrible hotel cost...
