We enjoyed a lovely one-night stay at Hotel North Pole. Our room was very welcoming with its simplistic charm - not overly decorated or Christmas-esque, so if that's the vibe you're looking for, try the Santa Claus suite which has velvet red bedding and a Christmas tree up year-round (or check out the Santa Claus house nearby). Our room was cozily furnished and very clean, spacious with basic amenities. We were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the Aurora Borealis outside our window!  Friendly staff and quiet atmosphere. Would recommend!

I'm a local & normally stay in Fairbanks when I decide to stay over. But I decided to stay in NP this time & I was pleasantly surprised! When I pass through NP I often comment that they really should do more to decorate for visitors. We walked up to our room (Rm 319) and outside of the door was decorated for Christmas. We entered and BAM, it was all decorated. The tree was lit and the fireplace was on. 🙂 Turns out I had booked the Santa Claus Suite without knowing it. It was comfy, cozy & I'd stay there again for sure.

A good place to stay in a quaint town near Fairbanks! The decor and atmosphere match the Christmas-theme of the whole town, and it's adorable. The rooms were great, the only drawback being that they didn't have a microwave and mini fridge (there is a shared microwave downstairs in the breakfast area). Speaking of which, we really appreciated the included continental breakfast! They had a selection of packaged pastries, cereals, and juice/milk.

I planned our visit to the North Pole Hotel over eight months ago after reading about the Santa Suite on TripAdvisor and watching a local television broadcast about the Santa Suite. However, my problem began upon arrival when the very kind front desk clerk informed me that the $324.00 would only cover the room charge. She explained that a visit from Santa and cookies delivered to the room would cost an additional $150.00. I experienced a moment of sticker shock because I believed that renting the suite would include such amenities. I was sadly mistaken. If I had known these circumstances I surely would have remained in my original hotel. The management of this hotel has done a poor job with providing this valuable information to guests. There was no such disclaimer on Expedia or the hotel website. The front desk clerk indicated that management would contact me unfortunately that has yet to happen. My son did enjoy the decorations in the room during our short visit however, I did not enjoy cleaning up water that runs out of the shower all over the floor and the extremely noisy heating system. The Santa Suite concept is sweet; however, the hotel needs to provide clear details on their website regarding the true cost. I must admit I was disappointed to pay over $300.00 for a room with no Santa. ...

Drove all the way to this place from Fairbanks as everywhere was booked up; I see now why this was the only place with availability. It was the same price as the awesome hotel we stayed at in Fairbanks except this place was more like a motel 6. It looks fine from the outside but the rooms are run down and outdated. It has those tacky cheap motel blankets and gross carpet. The included breakfast consisted of those tiny boxes of cereal, unripe fruit, and hard boiled eggs. Not even any hot coffee. For what it is it should be half the price we paid, or less. Would not stay here again considering there are great hotels for the same price...
