I was a lil put off by the few bad reviews. But to be honest this place had the best rating/reviews in the area. I am so glad we stayed here! HIGHLY recommend! Our stay here was Sat-Mon in Sept. We stayed in rm 234 it is the room w 3 Queen beds. Sat was about $140 and Sun was only about $120. You should always check what ur rate will be for each day your going to stay. If you do not, you can't complain about the rate later. Thats just dumb. This stay was for my husbands birthday celebration, I got him a fishing charter on Sandusky Bay w family and friends. I also planned dinner and cake for when they got back. I asked at check in if I could use the breakfast room and was told shift change was at 4pm to call down and ask the new person on duty. Which I did and Felicity was very kind to let us and asked how many people which only 6 were staying for dinner. I promised to clean up our mess. We did put up a happy Birthday banner and our own table cloths, only utilizing 3 tables, making sure to put everything back the way it was when we were done. We appreciated this so much! Now, I like to keep my expectations in perspective. You should too. For the price this hotel exceeded my expectations! Every employee we encountered was very kind and courteous. Everything was clean, no smells. Pool and Hot tub Area- pool was warm. Hot tub was very hot, I'd guess kept about 102°. Pool area very clean, towels set on each table. FYI- The bathroom in the pool area is huge. There's a bathroom in the hall right outside the pool room too but its small. Breakfast- It was very good and well maintained the whole time. It is a hot breakfast, w waffle makers, fresh fruit, breads, muffins, pastries, cereals, hot drinks, OJ, yogurt, im sure im missing things. Very nice. Room- very clean, well stocked. Not small but just enough room to move around comfortably. The bathroom was very small, just enough room to open the door. Though, very clean and well maintained. This room would NOT be wheelchair accessible. However, we did have handicap/mobility disabled people in our group and we were ok. A walker/rollator was a tight squeeze but we made it work. * This room was also all the way down the end of the hallway. * Parking- good parking, especially for handicap near front door. Front door- is a pull to open door not the usual big automatic open doors. Elevator- is halfway down the hallway. A bit of a walk for anyone w mobility issues. So plan accordingly. *This hotel should have a higher rating. We've paid much more in this area for much less in hotels not nearly as well maintained, with staff not nearly as professional. *Thank you to Felicity and all the staff for a great experience!*

BE AWARE.....VERY LONG REVIEW!!!! What a wonderful experience here at the Best Western Norwalk. I have never been to any hotel that could accommodate a party of 7 people. This trip was a graduation trip for my son and two of his friends, his brother and cousin. What an amazing time that they had and I was so proud I could give them a graduation weekend trip to Sandusky OH. They have been planning a 2 day trip to Cedar Point and having a males trip since the 9th grade. I am so happy I could bring their graduation dreams to life. LETS TALK ABOUT THE ROOM! They had single, double, triple and quadruple number of bed in a room. In our rooms (FIRST ROOM) I had three beds and the (SECOND ROOM) boys room they had four beds. I never in life seen a hotel room with four beds. This was over the top...the icing on the cake...oooh wee gooey filled with all types of goodness kind of room. This room reminded me of a little efficiency apartment or a dorm room. The boys were happy they had a room for all of them and they could be comfortable, free and be independent. Anyway they had a balcony which overlooked the pool and hot tub. They enjoyed theirselves. I really loved their room and were proud of how responsible they become. Anyway, in my room we had three beds and it was a masterpiece filled with so much space and happiness,. The beds were so soft, nice size TV and a desk to do work if that's what you need to do and very very CLEAN rooms. The front desk staff all were exceptionally great. I enjoyed each and everyone of them. I hated to leave because everything was in walking distance and the guest were so nice and I just LOVED the rooms that much.😂😂 This trip has been a great experience that none of us will ever forget. We will be coming back to this Hotel. That is if we are passing by or going to Cedar Point again. This is only my opinion but there needs to be more Hotels like this one. The cost wasnt bad but it was expensive but considering how many people I had and the value of the rooms, I can not complain. Great overall experience. I give this Best Western Norwalk all 5👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤ Great service, great atmosphere, great guest interaction, awesome customer service, nice clean pool, wonderful housekeepers, and right now they have limited breakfast accommodations but as soon as they can open it up I know the food will be great. Beautiful location!!!! THANKS EVERYONE for what you all DO!! Up

Stayed here for a couple of nights, definitely a good deal for what you pay for. Room is over all clean and accommodations are better than other lodges (compared to the Econo lodge across the way) Ice machine down the hall, access to rooms from all ends of the building. Complimentary breakfast and a pool and work out room (I didn't not use the pool or work out room). Staff is very friendly and even offered to watch my baggage when I had to run up to the front desk when my key didn't work. Thanks for the good stay.

I initially checked in and had no issues. The room was large since it had 3 beds. The kids were excited to get in the pool and went to go enjoy it and the hot tub. I was surprised that the pool area was very nice and larger than pools in hotels that are around the same tenant capacity. I went down to sit in the pool area with friends and thought that the odor of chlorine was very strong but didn't think much more about it. I went up after about an hour or less to get ready for dinner. My son came up early and said he couldn't be in the pool any longer because he was having a hard time breathing and complained of the strong chlorine. Later that evening after dinner, my daughter went back to the pool with a friend. I stayed in the room. When they came back early, they were complaining about how string the chlorine was and coughing. One of the bathing suits changed color from a light pink to a purple color and was totally ruined. The other on got thins dingy brown tint to it and it was ruined. I tried to bleach it out after returning home, but it didn't change. The following morning I got up early and got the breakfast which didn't match their menu. I asked about that and they just said "I guess they didn't have the sausage bake" which I was fine with as I would rather have the eggs. The breakfast was good. However, you must get there early! By 7am they were running out of items and not refilling anymore like the eggs, sausage and waffle mix. They refilled several times with different items while I was down there for about 30 minutes, but then they just disappeared. I went to the front desk to talk to them and no one was there. I rang the bell 3 times and no one came. The front desk is awkward with people dining in front of the desk as an overflow area. |After arriving home the kids both had chest congestion and coughs. My wife called the front desk to let them know about the extremely high chlorine levels and bathing suits that got ruined. They explained that a 3rd party does the pool maintenance and acknowledged that there was a high level of chemicals in the pool that Friday. They said they would offer a full refund and additionally pay for the bathing suits. When they looked up our booking, they saw that we booked through Expedia and said that we needed to contact them to complete the process. I contacted Expedia within 30 minutes. They contacted the hotel and the hotel then refused and such refund, completely denying any such conversations. I decided to call the hotel back myself in frustration since they just told my wife otherwise about the refund. I asked to speak with the manager and they would not put them on the phone. I then explained the situation again and they said "well the owners said we can't issue a refund". I told my wife this info so she called the hotel back again to speak with the manager. They were very unprofessional and rude said "yeah your boyfriend just called and we declined the request". they would not put the manager on the phone either. She asked for the name of the person she was speaking with and they initially refused and then laughed and said "Betty" which sounded like she was talking to irresponsible and disrespectful teenagers. At that point we were bath really upset on the way that we were treated and the way this was being handled. I followed up this complaint to the corporate offices. They are currently looking into the situation. I will say that the management/front desk staff are totally unprofessional and I would never...
