I would not return to the Norwalk, Ohio Taco Bell. Within online allergy communities, Taco Bell is often mentioned as a fast food chain with decent options. I have a dairy allergy, so many of their options ordered fresco are safe for me to eat.
Before placing our order, we asked if they could accommodate my dairy allergy, and we were told yes. I followed the allergen menu provided by corporate online, and ordered all of my items fresco and dairy free. Once we arrived home, I checked all of my food and realized every single item had a small to moderate amount of cheese in it. Items that don't even contain cheese, such as the black beans and rice, had a pinch of cheese in it. My burrito also contained a single pinch of cheese directly in the middle of it. Thankfully I unrolled my burrito and found the cheese prior to eating it.
My husband called the restaurant, and spoke with the manager, his response was "oh, okay" before hanging up.
I understand the risk of cross contamination, but this seemed reckless and almost intentional. Why would items that only contain hot ingredients, and no dairy (even when ordered normally off the menu) be served with cheese? This location, including management, needs a serious overhaul in customer service, and the importance of understanding and respecting food allergies. If you can't accommodate, respect, or understand what a food allergy is, don't tell a customer you can handle their order. Either not caring, or intentionaly messing with an order can have serious...
Read moreJust visited this location for a late evening bite after a long day (didn't feel like cooking). I never expect much from a fast food chain, but was disappointed with this visit, even with the low expectations going in...
Wife got nachos bell grande combo -- it was a pile of crushed crumbs (not a single piece that I would consider a chip) with all of the toppings in a little pile on one side. She was supposed to get a taco with the combo, but none was present in the bag.
We also got a random steak crunch wrap that we did not order... Hopefully the next person in line got all of their items.
Frustrating when the wife is hangry, craving taco bell, but only eats 2 things on the menu -- both of which she ordered (and paid for) neither of which she received (at least not in a form that was reasonably edible).
Didn't seem too busy... Staff was calm and collected, getting orders out. Apparently, just not caring about quality or paying attention to the order tickets.
It should be noted that I have waited for a couple of visits before posting this review.... But of my 3 visits here over the last couple of months, my order hasn't...
Read moreWell, I felt the need to try again. Always hit and miss fr this place. And me and the wife were hungry. Got the app and ordered. They put almost no meat in our food at all. Got a Baja that tasted just, wrong. Glad I'm full, but basically got 1 crunch wrap with steak, that had 4 small pieces of steak in it. A taco that had beans an cheese with no meat in it. Also the french fries were ice cold
Well seems if you want your food between cold and luke warm, this is the place to go!! Beyond that im allergic to onions, made the biggest fit to tell them, "no onions". Ok Cool he replies and does not even add it to the board. I get a big box deal and chow on my food that luke warm and cold in different spots. Not surprised because it is the norm. Though when I get to the final taco in my box I get it half way down and start feeling ill. Well I couldn't tell exactly what was in the taco because it looked iffy on the inside. Well next bite something burned as it hit the back of my throat. I dissect the taco to find lots of onions hidden inside. Vomit slowly starts and my meal ends up in the toilet well...
