Booking this hotel was a big mistake. Thinking that I could trust the reviews, I decided to give this one a chance. Before my bf and I got to the hotel, I wanted to call in and see what the earliest time for check-in was and if the room was possibly ready if not, no big deal because it was a short time before check-in. So I call, and no one picks up.
We head over to this hotel, and it is about 15 min before check-in. We go into the lobby which might I add had no one at the front desk. Not to mention it was extremely stuffy (because it was small), and smelled bad, no AC, fan, nothing. There was also a rag being used as a doorstop. We rang the bell several times for about 5 min until an old man came out looking like we were inconveniencing him. The people who run the hotel apparently live right behind the front desk, as there was a door leading right into their living space, no joke. Anyway, we ask this older guy about the room and when it will be ready. He says 10 min. So we wait.
My bf and I go back in after the 10 min (its now past check-in time) and he tells me another 10 min and im looking at him like you can't be serious. This is where I start to get pissed off. We go back to the car and I get on the phone with the agency I booked the hotel through. As we are waiting, we see a group of people walk in presumably to get a room. My bf decides to go in and see whats going on because we had been waiting and if they get checked in its going to be a problem. In the meantime, I am on the phone trying to figure out a solution which was another disappointment in itself but whatever. Turns out, the old man tells everyone to wait outside, and the other group ends up going to another hotel since they didn't have reservations anyway and probably didn't care to put up with the BS.
Unfortunately, I did. Anyway, this old mans son, drives into the hotel where he came from goes into the lobby, comes back knocks on my car window talking about are you ready to check in? So I tell my bf to handle this since I am still on the phone trying to get a refund or moved to another hotel with the same price for the room. While I am on the phone in my car, I notice that the cleaning people are dressed casually with children following them around. At one point, I saw a young girl (like at least 7-8yrs) pushing a mop bucket to the next room. My bf comes back with the room key noticing that the room they assigned us to had the door wide open already. They said the reason for this was to let fresh air in which at that point I had already had it. I don't know who could have snuck into that room and possibly been waiting to do who knows what. We were able to go to another hotel room but still at a cost to me in more ways than one because of this hotels DEPLORABLE service.
I recommend that NO ONE give these people business. Some of these reviews were probably paid lies. Going to the other hotel, even mentioning it to someone in passing they said the same thing. If you are the owner and you happen to read this, everything you have to run this poor excuse of a hotel should be revoked and it should be put under new management.
Room Tip: Go somewhere else that has better service. It is NOT worth it...
Read moreI chose this hotel because it was close to the freeways, and as a few other review stated there is also a few places to eat that is walking distance. After I paid and checked in, the front desk told me that no visitors are allowed 🤨 after informing him again that it was only I spending the night, I never heard of a motel 6 or any hotel for that matter that does not allow you to have a guest that is NOT sleeping over. This was the first red flag. And after about 15 minutes I understood why. This hotel has people who are without a home living on the premises the majority are in the back. When you pull in you will see two bottom units on your left. They look like permanent residents staying smoking eyeballing people.. other people in the back doing the same. Kind of sketchy 🤔 After leaving doing a little bit of shopping and coming back, the only Parking I could find was next to a SUV that was parked somewhat in the next Lane .I parked accordingly. The man came out instantly very rude and told me to park a different way when I showed him the other park SUV was causing me to park crooked he let me know that was housekeepers. As if because it was a housekeeper didn't have to park correctly but me as a paying guest gets yelled at. The whole experience was very uncomfortable and made me upset. You do pay for what you get. It's unfortunate that people do get these hotels and then they prejudge going off past guest it's understandable but it's not appropriate. I am not from that area, my mind is not on any negativity, not under the influence and not with any ulterior motives. It was just a household. Not everyone is in the same situation if I'm traveling somewhere to visit family do some shopping and relax that is where my mind frame is at. RELAXING! The whole vibe was just thrown off 😔 the best part of this I say is the color of the rooms 💙 initially looking the room was "looking"clean however, look closer ... going to the bathroom they are not updated. And in the morning saw a couple cockroaches🦗 ( yes cockroaches not grasshopper) I took pictures and video of this ... Is even with a restaurant if it has bad food if the people's attitude is good you're going to leave them a tip. This place cleanliness, attitude, environment gets a thumb down. Being kind can go a long way. For me attitude was the big thing. Just rude kind of condescending.. the people there looked as if the state was paying for them to stay there because of the covid. You could tell they were transients. Here I come in my push button start nice car, will put together smiling good attitude and I was treated like less than. And I don't mean that in a bad way I'm a paycheck away from being homeless myself 🥴 The owners of the hotel live there and it looks to be about three guys a lady and some kids when I tell you they are just always walking around talking, THEY ARE 🗣️ if you're looking to relax and enjoy a getaway do not go here💢 if you absolutely have no other choice well then you don't have any...
Read moreIf you are thinking about staying here please, spend the extra bucks and save yourself the headaches! First off we were deceived because amenities that were stated on the page were not available. WiFi definitely was not available as stated and the webpage. Also mentions, infant/cribs available upon request. When we asked the front desk person, he just gave us a blank stare like we were out of this world. We accepted that neither were available and just decided to go into the room because we were tired from the travel. I turned on the light only to realize it wasn't working. I went to check if there was a bulb and got shocked, I was shaking after that. There were holes in the bathroom wall and the bedroom wall (bullet shaped and covered with a wall picture), can not confirm if that's the actual type of hole, but those were my suspicions! The bathroom smelled like urine or wet rag, I assumed it was from the lack of a shower liner. There were stains on the wall which appeared to be blood! We went across the road to Wal-Mart to purchase deodorizer and disinfectant, since our requests to have the room disinfected were ignored. The beds were hard as a rock, probably better off bringing your own air mattress. The area was terrible, all we heard at night were ambulance and police sirens. I was afraid to leave anything in the room because the place was so sketchy. We traveled around the area with all of our belongings in our vehicle. You definitely get what you pay for, so I blame myself for going cheap! If you are considering going cheap, just remember...
