Yesterday, Wednesday, I received a pop-up on my FB announcing a Selena tribute show at El Baja. Seeing the pop-up, it immediately sparked my interest. The Selena impersonater was really good. When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised with the assortment of high-end tequila displays. We were seated by a friendly host. A few seconds later, Michelle introduced herself and told us that she would be our server. She gave us the menu. A few minutes later, we were served some fresh and crispy tortilla chips and a delicious mid-heat salsa. Michelle returned and asked us for our drink order and if we wanted to start with an appetizer. We opted for the fried calamari. The fried calamari was served fast, still hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. We ordered the Mar y Tierra (Sea and Land) molcajete. It came with tender chicken, strips of beef, scrumptious pork chorizo, tender white fish, succulent shrimp, nopalitos, cebollitas, and a jalapeño. And, at the bottom, it had some delicious and perfectly season sauce. The molcajete was sooo good. This is a MUST stop by when you're in the mood for a good dinner. I will definitely be back.

Hey all you Googlies out there... We used to come here a lot way back when it was owned by previous owners like (3 yrs. ago) Always have been a little hesitant when new owners take over. Well we decided to chance it and try it. Wow my big mistake. We should have come back a long time ago. Today (Sun) got my favorite a big bowl of menudo, (was pretty good, almost the same). But usually always get a hard shell beef taco, and they didn't have hard shell. Thus the 4 stars and not the five. The wifey got a plate of her fave too, an egg on top of a plate of chiliquiles including rice and beans. Again just as good as previous. Well we decided on one more item and already knew it would be too much but we couldn't resist. So we added a Chile Relleno, oh my that was really good, and the sauce the top it with was really good. Well were glad we stopped in. Oh one more thing, if you haven't ever had a Cucumber Margarita I urge you to try one. Really different and tasty, oh and add an extra shot of tequila. Adios Friends

To start off the food here is actually very delicious. I've tried a variety of things and nothing has disappointed. This review is solely based off take out orders. I have done 2 take out orders recently my very 1st time my order was a shrimp cocktail with extra lime and crackers, an order of hot wings with the sauce on the side, and a side of French fries with ranch. When I went to pick up my order we had no crackers, no lime and no ranch. They also gave us tortilla chips as a would normally when you eat in but they did not give us any salsa to go with it. Luckily I had checked the bag at the restaurant and was able to ask for crackers, lime, and ranch. I did not notice the salsa until I got home. My 2nd order was today 12/21/2021. I ordered the Costa Azul camaron and asked for flour tortillas to go with the meal. I also ordered another order of hot wings sauce on the side with ranch. My daughter ended up picking up the order and brought it home. I opened everything up we actually did have ranch! However I was missing the flour tortillas. They also again gave us the tortilla chips and no salsa for the chips. They do not include any silverware, napkins, salt or pepper.

If they would work on this and make sure that everything is included that is supposed to be such as the salsa for tortilla chips and the tortillas that go with the meal that you get when you dine in, it would be such a greater take out experience. When you order take out it's usually for a reason and having those little inconveniences of no silverware nor tortillas makes it hard to enjoy your meal.

So putting all that aside, I enjoy the food and I enjoy the drinks. I do not enjoy the take...

I walked in yesterday evening 8/14/18 as I read good reviews and wanted to treat my daughters to a nice night out and order off the menu NOT TACO TUESDAY so I was clearly there to spend money. Me and my daughters stood in plain site at the register waiting for someone to acknowledge us and no one did. 3 hostess/servers passed us and no one said anything for 20 minutes we were treated this way. I am a black woman and manager for Marriott hotels and needless to say I felt like I was racially profiled as everyone in the restaurant was Hispanic. If you think I am wrong let me tell you that 3 Hispanic couples/family's walked in after me and they were all acknowledged and places in front of me. After a while of being treated this way I walked me and my kids out of there. My daughter asked me why couldn't we stay and all I could say was " Because baby we are not welcome there" smh. I will never recommend anyone to go here no matter what race you are and be advised I am not a racist as my daughter is black...
