Kapolei Market Place — Local services in Oʻahu

Hi from Hawaii, Kapolei everyone 😉... I was just thinking last night about this Shopping Center bcuz it's one of two on Oahu that are at the bottom of my list. It's only bcuz if you don't have a car it's the most hardest to get to some of a bunch of the stores most of us in the United States all have but at Kapolei there's 3 separate parts to the mall and it would be difficult to go to all 3 without a car. There are buses that go around but you'd have to transfer and wait to get to one of the others. I call the main one the actual mall with Longs, Safeway and a bunch eating places, cheaper eating and gas stations. The #2 is another good one they have a bunch of medium $$$ good eating places and a covered eating outside tables if you don't want to go inside to eat. And it has Ross, a pet store etc. The last one has like Costco, Walmart, and something else I don't remember bcuz I've only been to those places a few times. There's a place down the street from the 1st mall that has a movie theater and a bank. There's a lot to do everything is just all over the place including not in the malls just everywhere in about 3 to 5 mile radius I would say. if I had a vehicle I would go there more...

The very first mall in Kapolei. The first store to ever open was in the 90s. Safeway was the first store to ever open in Kapolei. Than followed Longs and the rest of the retail stores. Over the years this mall has progressed to be so much more. Almost a necessity for Kapolei. That is until the the big box stores like Wal-Mart and Target came in. Kapolei Mall has a variety of food selection to choose form. Regular cooperate America type of food and some local food with island vibes. The mall is located in a perfect location across from Wal-Mart. This mall has a variety of banks from Bank of Hawaii to Hawaii State FCU and First Hawaiian bank. Hawaii State FCU does shared branching with participating credit unions. Their are 3 atm machines outside. American Savings, First Hawaiian bank and Kala Net aka Aloha Pacific FCU. They have all the stores pretty much like the other malls except they have 3 or 4 different parts to the mall and they're not in walking distance to one another. You can never get a cab or taxi or you'll have to have one reserved for the day you to get back to either the Transitional Shelter or the US Vets because the bus only runs from 5:30am to 9:30am then stops til 2:30pm and starts up again til 6:20pm and if you miss the last bus back you'll have to stay overnight til the next morning bus starts running again. On the weekend it starts at the same time but runs every hour until 8:20pm and that's it.
