Hotel Bel-Air Orlando near Florida Mall — Hotel in Oak Ridge

If I could give this dump 0 stars I would. We rented 4 rooms for a quick business trip as it was close to our job. I made the huge mistake of not reading the Google reviews in detail but my guess is that they are paying for the positive reviews. This place is definitely not a hotel but rather a motel. When we arrived, we were greeted by 2 very nice ladies. They checked us into our first room and that individual departed for her room but quickly returned. She explained to the ladies at the front desk that she saw a live roach in her room. The lady proceeded to call the Manager of the motel and let her know that. In addition, she told the Manager that clearly what they had done to treat the rooms did not work. She then moved that individual into another room. She checked in the rest of my party and to our dismay, 2 of the remaining 3 rooms also had live roaches. In addition, the 4th room smelled like dank for a lack of better terms. There were holes in the walls. The mattresses were awful. Our entire party met in the room of the first person. That room also had another roach in it and the microwave was filthy. At that point, I made the decision to find another hotel because I would never let my team stay in a situation like that. I asked the clerk for a refund on the rooms, but she stated that would have to be authorized by Sandy, the Manager, who worked in the morning. She went even further to state that she would have done it but ownership had revoked her right to refund rooms because she had to refund so many in the past. The next morning, I called and Sandy answered the phone and when I asked if she was the Manager, she said no and refused to give me that person's name. As I booked through Hotels.com, I contacted them about a refund but was told the motel had denied it. It is a shame that these people would do something like this but it is what it is. If I could give a zero for this place I would, it’s only saving grace was nice staff other then that nothing pleasing at all. To begin room was pretty warm the A/C kind of worked on and off. It was supposed to me non smoking but room still smelled like smoke. The sheets had stains on them so I didn’t trust laying underneath the covers at all. The toilet seat kept sliding wasn’t in place, the rack to put the towel on was held was bolts that are rusty and wasn’t fully in the wall properly. There were a few cockroaches in the bathroom. There is only one light for the entire room. Now to get to the sketchy people that were outside my room for several hours having an argument and yelling at each other and then when you think just that would be the worst people’s stupid bass in cars so loud at 1,2, and 3 in the morning so no chance of sleeping. Then when I’m about to leave to head to the airport around 3 I opened the door and some guy is just standing right outside the door. Just a weird sketchy place and area. I don’t trust it and would encourage others not to go here EVER!! I only stayed here due to my canceled flight and several other flights being canceled so no hotels available and let’s be clear on one thing this is a motel not a hotel like there name says. Looking back I wish I would of slept at the Airport I would’ve felt safer there. Worst motel/hotel...
