I cannot recommend the Rosen College Apartments, especially not for exchange students. It is far away from the UCF Main Campus and there is no shuttle on the weekend. Whenever there are events on a weekend or anything else, you have to get there with your own car (what many exchange students don't have) or pay a uber. Although UCF had a cooperation with Lyft to get a discount of 15$ per month, it does not apply for Rosen College, only near UCF Main Campus or Downtown. I really felt excluded from many things. Furthermore, the pool is often closed due to some issues which is also bad when it has around 30 degrees. The rooms are very bad in my opinion: the floor is dark which makes the room very dark and the lounge for students is also not very nice to sit (see picture attached) . When someone is using the toilet flush, it is sooo loud that I often wake up due to that. Besides, we have to deal with mold in the bathroom. For me, living here is too expensive regarding to all those things I have to deal with. There are no outside activities planned from Rosen, neither a barbecue nor a nice pool party, therefore it is really boring. I also wished to be in an apartment with exchange students as we could split all the costs for the things we needed to buy for only one semester: pans, pots, a coffee machine,... I hope they will do this in future. The reason why I give one star is that the campus is clean and safe. Honestly, if I knew all those things before, I would have never...
Read moreThe housing isn't bad, but if you are coming here with no friends than making friends on this campus is an uphill battle as there are no events, activities, or clubs on this campus. It's extremely difficult to find friends and you may be lonely. I am not interested in theme parks, which is most people are here for, so I feel like an outcast and it can be depressing since it's extremely difficult to make friends here and they don't provide natural ways to do so...
Read moreThese are the best dorms that UCF has to offer. They are spacious, generally safe, and the RAs are amazing people. The only safety issue I've come into contact with is our gate, which always seems to be open. I don't appreciate that. However, I do enjoy living here due to the fun events, close-knit community, and...
