The first day we get into our room, there was some womanâs long, black wavy hair and every part of the room and when I mean, every part, it was under the blankets under every sheets and some pillows all on the floor in the bathroom on parts of walls, like everywhere. The next day we called and asked at 9 AM in the morning if someone can come clean our room and change our sheets as soon as possible because thatâs just gross. We leave to go see some family then we come back that night and it was just the same sheets and blankets with the same hair, they just made the bed Instead of changing it. There was also what looks like some type of dirty brown handprint on the bathroom sink that I ended up cleaning up, thankfully brought disinfecting wipes. TV remote for the TV was horrible and itâs almost like it didnât register anytime. I press the button and it would take a whole 30 seconds for it to register and you have to hit the side of the remote in order for it to work. I felt like someone the staff were very uneducated on certain things. Like the front desk staff when I called for someone to pick up my trash in my room because our room wasnât clean for two days, the lady at to front desk told me that someone was going to be there right away. 2 1/2 hours later I called back and ask them, âIs it ok if I just put the trash in the hallway because itâs starting to smell our room?â The lady at the front desk tells me all the cleaning staff is gone for the day and I am gonna have to wait until tomorrowâŚ. So I had to wait three days for someone to come grab the trash out of our room. On one Of the days out of the week we stayed there. I asked them for toilet tissue because We ran out so I called the front desk and they told me I would have to come to the front desk to pick up my own toilet tissue since the cleaning stuff was yet again gone. It seems to me the cleaning staff is gone at different times of the day because the day before that was when that lady told me that the staff was gone for the day and that was at five 6 PM and then I called the next day for the toilet tissue, it was at 3 PM when he told me that the cleaning staff was gone for today, even though I saw some of them in the hallway still cleaning. Also, the one day that they clean our room, they did not vacuum the room at all so it was just a accumulation of crumbs because it seems to me that doesnât count as cleaning even though I heard that they do have a vacuum cleaner, but I guess they only vacuum when people leave. I have a two year-old who is loud and rowdy of course because thatâs just how toddlers are and they decided to put us in a split room where it connects to another room with a door⌠So I felt bad at any point in time when my son was screaming and jumping all over the place and making noise in the middle of the night, but thankfully it didnât seem like it bothered anybody. Another thing that bothered me is that the doors are very secure, but there is a complete huge gap where the door supposed to touch the floor⌠iâm glad our door had multiple locks to it, but that gap in between the floor and the door kind of concerned me and also side doors for outside that you can go out of, someone lodged the rock into so they can go back-and-forth in the door, which is very dangerous. They have cameras everywhere, but I donât know who would be the security if half the time itâs just mainly the front desk, people and part of the day the cleaning staff. Another thing I did not understand was the comforters had rips and holes all in them that was showing the cotton and everything, and they thought the brightest idea of resolve that from people from seeing it is to cover it with a sheet at the bottom and a sheet at the top of the comforter??? Instead of being cheap, just replace them, even some of the sheets had holes in it. Some of the sheets and pillowcases also had old stains on them that im sure wasnât being treated properly for them to be removed off of them. I am one for cleanliness, but like I said in my title, you get what you paid for I canât 100% complain because of how good of a price it is to stay there for eight days but then again there are a lot of things that need to be addressed that can be...

My wife and I originally reserved a room block for our wedding in Oak Brook, around ~10ish rooms or so. We worked with Veronica to specifically reserve rooms within the same vicinity so that we could be close to our guests during the nights leading up to and on the night of our wedding. We had been working with her for at least ONE full year prior to this to make sure we had the rooms we wanted.
Come the day of the wedding, we were told our rooms were âgiven awayâ by the general manager and our whole room block was split up, despite having notation under our reservation to NOT make any room changes. Veronica could seemingly not give us any plausible explanation for why this happened. When we asked to speak to the manager, Veronica first told us that the manager was not on-site. Then when we asked for the managerâs name, she then told us to wait and walked away, seemingly to speak to the manager who she just told us was not working. She then told us that as a courtesy, they would refund the cost of one free night back to us, as well as give us complimentary use of their shuttle bus. This was agreed upon on Oct 24th, 2025. It is now Nov 6th, about two weeks later and we have not been compensated, nor has there been any follow-up after contacting the venue regarding this.
Additionally when we were first browsing hotel options the year prior, Veronica had told us they were in the middle of constructing a brand new indoor pool for guests, which we were told would be finished by Summer 2025 and be ready in time for our guests. As of October 2025, the pool is still under construction. The hotel lobby was also undergoing some renovations which we were not told about as well. There was exposed drywall, paint and a large area covered by construction tarp jutting out into the lobby which does not really scream âinvitingâ to our guests. Again, we were not informed about the construction in the lobby.
We will not be recommending The Sleep Inn to any friends, family or any guest looking for a good hotel accommodation. The Oakbrook Terrace location is operated under poor management and failed to meet any of our standards, even when trying to accommodate for their own ineptitude and failure to adhere to basic customer service etiquette such as keeping our original room...
