I absolutely love walking the Boardwalk in Ocean City, Maryland! From the inlet where you can see the museum or just sit on the benches and look out over the water, all the way down past Morey's Pier, Trimper's Rides, Playland, to the little jewelry stores, Fisher's Popcorn, Kite Loft, and Wockenfus. The beach is accessible the entire way as well as benches if you want to take a break and people watch or relax watching the waves. There is something for EVERYONE to enjoy! There is NO Smoking anymore, which is why I only gave it four stars. This makes no sense. There should be a few smoking benches along the way as it is making smokers go off on side streets where, unfortunately, bad things can happen out of site. Further, should one just want to stand on the beach, they can smoke, so, it really makes no sense at all not to have a few benches where DISABLED SMOKERS can be accommodated. Other than that, the Boardwalk is a great place to enjoy for the...
Read moreI loved it here and we stayed very busy on the boardwalk the week we stayed in ocean city. They have an amusement park and rides at beginning of the boardwalk, fishing pier, lots of shops, food and entertainment.. LOTS and something for everybody young or older. In the morning you are able to rent bikes and ride the boardwalk. You have a great view of the ocean with all the boats and planes flying around with banners. If you don't like being around alot of people it's more laid back earlier in the day while most are at the beach but at night is when its packed and all the entertainers are out. This is the type of beach for younger families or people that want entertainment not a area to relax and chill with limited crowds which when we want that type of beach vacation we went to outter banks/nags head north carolina which is ...
Read moreI love Ocean City s boardwalk, always have. I DO NOT LIKE there new park and pay at the inlet.. it's ridiculous!!!! Bring the booths back!!!! You have to find a meter in the parking lot to pay when you park. So you basically have to guess how long you ll be there and then tailor all your activities to hull tail back to the car and get out of the lot before your time runs out. Of course the signs say you can pay for any extra time you needed at the meter before you leave the lot but I find that this has changed my attitude about parking there. I think we ll be using the pay and park all day lots for a while. And the park and pay lots prices will probably go up because they know people would rather pay a few more dollars and not have to worry about checking there watch every 20 min and rushing back to the car with...
