Rebuttal to original post and response: Original post--Great location near beach, boardwalk, and activities. Owners and staff friendly and check-in was easy. Assigned parking space. Good breakfast restaurant on premises. Less than good rating: -No daily cleaning service. Only freshened room on one day upon our request. -Bedskirt was not changed beween previous occupants and us. It looked as if someone had gotten sick. see pic I don't think he bedspread was replaced between guess either. -No coffee maker in room!! -No ice maker on premises!! -NO BLINDS ON WINDOW-ONLY A SHEER CURTAIN! The deck is shared by 3 rooms, so others are walking by your window!--BIG MINUS. -NO DEADBOLT ON DOOR!!--Another big minus! -1/2 inch gap under entry door. We made it work for 8 days, but would probably not return to this particular motel. Response from the owner an hour ago: Thank you for your feedback Tammy, we appreciate it. The reason we don't have coffee makers in the rooms is because The Kitchen diner is right downstairs--(Rebuttal--THIS IS AN EXTRA COST TO PATRON and you have to get dressed and leave your room when most people like to wake and get ready for the day with their coffee!) also we do have an ice machine at the office as well as ice bags, (Rebuttal--You told us the bagged ice was $5.00 for a 5 lb. bag.) it's just not out in the open in order to prevent the general public from using it. Our building is pretty old and even though we have renovated the rooms and the decks/balconies we couldn't really turn the shared balconies into private ones. The locks we've installed on the doors lock automatically so there really no need for deadbolt and we've never had an issue before. (Rebuttal--all hotels have doors that lock automatically, but patrons feel much safer with deadbolts, especially when the entry door is accessed from oudoors. There was an issue on Saturday morning when we left, I failed to realize I was on 2nd floor instead of the third, I walked to the door that I thought was ours, entered my code and walked into 202 instead of 302, startling the occupants from their sleep as well as scaring me. Why did their door open with my code? You can confirm this with them!) We do plan on adding an extra layer of blinds though in the immediate future. Housekeeping is done upon request due to being short stuffed. (Rebuttal--You should make patrons aware of this beforehand!) Again, we thank you so much for staying with us and wish you...
Read moreI would Give this place no stars if I could. First, when I arrived the parking man asked for me to give him $20 to park so I gave Him the 20 and then he changed it to it’s only $20 till 1am And $30 till 9am. When on the website it says it’s free parking. After we settled into the room, my boyfriend got a call saying that we aren’t aloud any guest. Nobody can even stop in and say hello. Nobody ever told us we couldn’t have any guest over until we got there. They were watching the camera that is right outside our room. Our friends left. Came back later to get their stuff. The next day, my boyfriend and I are woken up to two cops and the owner in our doorway. Nobody ever knocked. They said we are being evicted because we have guest over. There was nobody staying there except my boyfriend and I but that didn’t seem to matter to them. We had to tell them to give us privacy so we could change. I left my earrings there because they rushed us out so fast. They kicked us out for absolutely no reason. The owner was very rude and when we called him out on it he walked away because he was trying to catch us with a room full of a ton of people which he didn’t. I would not recommend this...
Read moreThis was an exciting find for a motel. In 2018 a Greek family purchased this motel and restaurant and are doing a major update. Our room had just been updated and had a king bed. The room was new Pergo style flooring which is lovely. The bathroom had a 5 ft walk in shower. The sink was very trendy. The flat screen TV had dish TV. The deck still needs some update. The best part is the location. It literally is 1 block from the Ocean City pier and boardwalk. We were there for Sunfest and this location was fantastic in that we were so close to Sunfest that we did not have to look for parking. At this point there is no lobby. The check in and out is by cell phone. There is no phone in the room. We could quickly walk back to our room and then back to the events. I hope this place doesn't become so popular that we can't get a room there in the future. The attached restaurant is very cozy. They serve a great breakfast at a reasonable price. The orange juice is individually fresh squeezed. Get there early before the line...
