There's so much here, it's so pretty. The ambiance is great. Just salt winding your hair and being able just to enjoy where you're at. I love going all the way down to the channel and watching everyone come and go across the water. You can walk all the way out and walk on the ocean or take a nice long walk on the boardwalk. For those who are interested in that kind of family situation, the rides are really fun for little kids. They recently upgraded from tickets to a card and point system which is similar to many arcades.
During the day and early evening the boardwalk is generally safe, however that can change as night goes on.
Don't feel like you have to walk the entire boardwalk. A lot of the scenery repeats itself every three or four blocks.
Typically, we had our favorites, thrashers, one of either of the ice cream places, and then on for a snow cone. We'll typically do a couple rides, maybe get some odds and ends from some of the stores there for the beach, and then move on. We really can't spend an entire day or more than a couple...

Love the large pet shop , everything you can imagine for your furry friend. The Restaurant has the best view in OC for dining (seafood is the specialty, delicious). It overlooks the inlet & ocean with window views all around. Can be busy at times but worth taking time for. Pricey, but it is to be expected...
