I stayed in 307. Don’t let the outside of the building fool you. It may not look the nicest but it is nice.
The overall experience was good. The only issue I had was during the booking process I was never informed that you had to check in at a separate building and only found out by calling when I arrived and luckily it said so on the message machine because they must have closed the office early that day. I arrived at four, office is open until five but nobody was there when I showed up. They had told me previously that the key would be in a lock box and gave me a code to get in. The lock box is located on the front of the office building.
Now to the room itself. It was nice. Basically the size of an apartment with all the amenities minus a washer and dryer. It was fairly clean, not spotless, but by no means unacceptable and I am pretty picky about cleanliness. I always do a walk through when I arrive to make sure of no issues and that is something they actually suggest in the paperwork you receive. The ocean view is nice and the back patio is comfortable to sit and enjoy the sights and sounds. The pet friendly option is great although I didn’t need that. It wasn’t very busy so I can’t speak for how it may be if there were neighbors and noise levels. The bed wasn’t the best but it wasn’t horrible. The parking lot can be a little tight especially in a bigger truck.
I will probably stay here again. The price, I felt, was good for the room and it is...
Read moreThe location was convenient. Due to the fact my child and I had to sleep in my car. I had the most awful experience with this place I have ever had anywhere. I arrived after the normal check in. After calling and speaking to them was no problem due to the keyless entry.. Well no ma'am that did not work then there was a strange man at the end of the hall watching me as I was trying to put the code in the door I tried different times but never worked. I tried to contact every number they give to contact if you have problems no help. The parking lot has no lights. So me and my 6 year old son in the dark with with strange large man who just continued to watch us. We had drove over 2000 miles. I was able to get ahold of the woman I believe to be the owner who called me Janet Phinney and she tried to help me my phone had died and by the time it had charged enough I just left. The cops had someone pulled out in front going crazy. I was not sticking around for that. The person who called me to see how my stay was said I should be able to get at least part of a reimbursement and I called the numbers like she said too and they all said no I will not get a reimbursement of any kind and hang up. I never stepped foot in the condo . I will never use expendia or vrbo or evolve for anything ever again. Also I had the...
Read moreWe stayed in Unit 308 via Airbnb. ||||General issues common to all units: Great location, center of town, easy access to shops, a walk through the bush about 1 mile to get to the beach, ocean is visible but you cannot hear it. There is a hot tub but the hours of use are limited to 5pm to 9pm. ||||Unit 308: it was clean and smelled of a chlorine based cleaner but there was dog hair on the furniture and on the bed. The bed (this is how I really judge accomodation) was pitiful - it listed to starboard so severely you couldn't stay in the bed on that side. The toilet leaned also. The kitchen didn't have 4 matching glasses to drink from, there was no dish scrubber and it had no condiments apart from salt and pepper. I guess we were expected to buy even sugar to use. A note in the kitchen strongly suggested we were to do the dishes and tidy up the unit before leaving - even though we paid a cleaning fee. It was 65 outside in the evening and the tiny fireplace heater couldn't even warm the place up properly, so I'd be wary about staying when it was actually cold outside. ||||Overall - this unit may be fine if you are aware of all these faults but as travellers expecting somewhere decent to stay, it really didn't...
