We have been to all of the restaurants in the Ocean Shores area for the past 24 years, but this particular place failed miserably as compared to its competitors in the area. The following comments detail our experience:
Parking: Limited to a handful of vehicles, which were taken so therefore we needed to park in a hotel parking lot at the risk of being towed away. GRADE "F" Service: Only one waiter for the entire restaurant, which resulted in waiting 15 minutes until she was available to take our order. GRADE "F" Beverages: Waiter brought two glasses of water, both of which smelled and tasted of high levels of chlorine. I had to go outside to our vehicle and rinsed my mouth out from a bottle of water. GRADE "F" Service: After already waiting 15 minutes to place our order, which was a house salad and a cup of hot clam chowder, we finally received our meal 45 minutes later. Apparently the cook staff and waiter were having issues as we can hear them arguing because meals were being sent back for further cooking by another table. GRADE "F" Food: The salad managed to appear and taste normal, but the clam chowder was cold. We didn't want to raise our concern at this point because we just wanted to get away from this experience. GRADE "F" Staff: After sitting there for over an hour, I noticed that a second waiter started working the floor. It was this person that obviously ignored me when I tried to get her attention to bring our bill because the original waiter disappeared. This waiter looked directly at me when I waived her over for help, but instead she immediately looked the opposite direction until she passed my table. GRADE "F" Service: After waiting an additional 15 minutes for someone to come and bill us, we just got up and went to the cash register and had to hail someone from the kitchen area to take our payment. GRADE "F"
Conclusion: Unfortunately, this experience cost us twice the amount we intended to pay for lunch because we immediately left the Copalis Cove Pub & Eatery and went to a different restaurant in the area and had a great lunch...
Read moreIncredible food! We’ve been to Ocean Shores many times, but we have never tried this place before. We ate here for dinner the first night we arrived and we’ve eaten every meal since because it’s so good.
The first night we had the clam basket and a loaded baked potato. Baked potato may have been the very best I’ve ever had. The bacon on it was real bacon. It was crispy.
We came back for breakfast and both had croissant breakfast sandwiches. They serve them on croissant bread, not actual croissants. Delicious! Hashbrowns weren’t all that great. They seem more baked than fried, but not bad.
Dinner that night we have a clam basket and a taco salad and loaded, baked potato again. The potato wasn’t quite as good as the night before, but still great. Bacon not as crispy. Taco salad was a bit on the salty side but salsa leveled it out. It was absolutely delicious. It had a very unique flavor.
The next day we had the Cobb salad, which was great and breakfast biscuit with spicy chicken. It was incredibly good! Not too spicy. Just flavorful.
The bacon they use is awesome!
The baked potatoes are smaller than expected but the perfect size based on the price, which is very reasonable.
Everything was very...
Read moreMy wife and I are always checking out new places and this was recommended by a couple we met at the Green Lantern. We were chatting about menu items and how much we enjoyed the revised menu at the Lantern so they said we should check out Copalis Cove. We weren't disappointed. I had the Seafood Combo and she had the Black and Blue Burger with the Blackened Shrimp as an appy, recommended by the waiter. He was not wrong, it was great! Perfectly cooked and seasoned, my wife loving the dipping sauce but I loved it without as the spices were not too spicy but lots of flavor.
The seafood combo had great coating that was super crunchy, perfectly cooked, and served immediately. The black and blue was wonderfully cooked, very flavorful, and nicely balanced. We both upgraded the fries to chowder and were not disappointed. Very flavorful, veggies fully cooked, the rest not overcooked. Great mouthfeel and lip smacking goodness.
We will definitely do this place again! The Halls, owners, have a hit on their hands. And the waitstaff was incredible, something that can make or break a place....
