Ojai Greens — Local services in Ojai

I will start by saying that this place originally had some very good pricing, however more recently they have adjusted their pricing to be more in line with the other two dispensaries next door which for me eliminates their competitive advantage but I continued going there out of habit. However for me this place will no longer work for me. They are the only dispensary of the three that closes at 6:30 as apposed to 7p like the other two. I come from Oxnard and get off of work @ 6p so making it before they close is a challenge. But that's my issue, the reason for the one star review is that calling and explaining this I was told that as long as I got there by 6:30 I would be allowed in and that once inside the customers had until 7p to make their purchase. So I rushed there after work and got to the front door literally at 6:31 and 37 seconds (to be exact!). The door was already closed but there were several customers still in there. The security guard came to the door and I explained my situation and told him I had spoken to someone earlier. He then said sorry but we have closed our registers and turned me away. I explained I knew what I wanted and would be in and out (probably quicker than most of the customers that were already there). He again repeated that registers were closed (even though there were several customers inside still shopping) and turned me away. I get that after being there all day you want to go home but being in retail for a couple of decades now I also know that a business is successful because of it's customers. As a customer I was VERY disappointed in their customer service and being that I have other options for were I spend my money I did what I told the security guard I would do and went next door and gave them my $200 business. And quite frankly I had a great experience at the other...

I have removed my prior review as it was full of hopes and dreams. In reality these folks have failed to be consistent at all in listing price and THC. After my last review there was a meager effort to address this issue...but by my third return visit they had seemingly completely given up. So no more dependence on promises and no walking away. Firstly... quality. The dispensaries do NOT dictate quality. The growers do that. In fact most of the qualities voiced by reviewers are not assignable to anyone other than the growers. So what's left. The display, the pricing, the inventory and the atmosphere. Display is above average. Inventory is large. Pricing is right in line with everyone else but the atmosphere is superficial and misleading. These folks aren't your friends they are business people. Example. The so-called Green Friday sale. I was personally told by one of the lead salesmen that 'the early bird catches the worm'...he even agreed that there would only be so many 'worms' available. So naturally I was first in line. To my horror not only was my first place thrown out the window by the mindless approach to crowd control but to make the Sales Pitch even more absurd....None of the Vendors who would be ,at least theoretically, guardians of the special deals and offers were scheduled to arrive until 4pm. Nice bait and switch. Standard business fare. Truth is there are no 5 or even 4 star level dispensaries in Ojai. As much as we might wish it and as easily as it might be achieved. This is still my fave and the best of the three but someone with a more consistent and honest approach will easily surpass these infant efforts.

P.S. Also heard in line that they used to offer Swag to first time visitors. Well you can forget that. They don't track it and...

Second visit & bought 14g of flower they suggested/pushed for me to buy. Immediately after smoking, flower had a disgusting aftertaste. Emptied out the bowl & the ash was ALL black too.

If you are not aware, when flower ashes out black it’s a HUGE indicator that the plant was not "flushed" properly of the chemicals used. Not just an unpleasant taste, but worse you burn & inhale the dangerous chemicals as well. NOT HEALTHY AT ALL!! Very dangerous depending on the patient.

Couldn’t believe they knowingly sell unhealthy medicine. So I called, tried to explained my concerns & guy on the phone refused to listen or get manager to discuss the alarming concern. He proceeded to rudely belittle & said there’s nothing wrong with smoking flower not properly flushed. Employees are either not knowledgeable or they demonstrate little regard for health of their customers/patients. Extremely disappointing Guy said, "managers don't care & they are not going to help you" & hung up the phone.

Not only will I not return but will let all my friends know to never buy from a shop that doesn't care of unhealthy & dangerous product they are pushing on unknowing patients/customers.

How extremely disappointing to be treated this way. This could have been such a great success story for them. Instead the failed.
