I personally thought the bed was one of the best parts. I like a firm mattress. I didn't grow up in Whoville and aren't accustomed to sleeping on a marshmallow. Mine had some kind of light topper/padding but I like the med-firmness below it. The pillows were plentiful and soft too. I had a nice king bed with a large headboard that was finger-print and dust-free (I always check for smudges on the headboard). The cleanliness was actually top notch for a hotel. The points that are normally overlooked (like lampshades and picture frame borders) were not. I didn't have to use my portable air purifier at all. My bathroom had soft clean towels and decent toiletries (lotion, shampoo etc). The shower was hot and the tub was clean. There was even a stopper so I could take a nice soak. This was great comfort seeing how the pool and Jacuzzi weren't available the few days I was there.
Staff was a pleasure to interact with and the breakfast offerings were pretty awesome. Nothing gourmet but a great variety of hot and cold selections. I liked that the lady was on top of wiping things down and replenishing the offerings. I wished there was whole milk for the cereal though--2% and skim is quite redundant tbh. I also could've used a few extra coffee cups in my room but I learned my last day that downstairs the dining area is open for access to coffee/tea so...I could've wandered down to restock. What I found most beneficial is the shuttle to the hospital across the street. It arrived quickly and saved me the trouble of navigating the parking situation for my appointment. Overall it was a great stay and you get your money's worth! Minus the $2 btls of generic water for sale at front desk....
Read moreThe hotel wasn't worth the money. Carpets were badly stained, didn't want to take my shoes off. (Time for new carpets) There was a gross musty smell in the room. I suspect from the air units but thats for you to determine. The free breakfast might as well been garbage as far as I'm concerned. The scrambled eggs were a cottage cheese texture and I questioned many times if it was even food. There is a "small mini fridge" in the lobby for buying things. There was 3 drinks, 3 mini icecreams, and 3 frozen microwave dinners. Again not even worth having especially after you hear what came next. I stayed here because my daughter was in the hospital. Got back late one night and spent $5 on a tiny frozen chicken nugget microwave meal. 1 of 3! I had to throw it away after two bites of having no idea what I was eating. If you have a "mini store" for people to buy things. It makes sense you FILL IT with normal items. (Drink options, multiple chips, crackers, ect) Again wasn't even worth it to have especially considering the money I wasted on gross food. You really should do better considering what your company charges. Absolutely outrageous. I was "lucky" enough to get a discount because of the hospital and I still think I paid too much.
The only good thing worth mentioning is the workers. They were all very nice and helpful considering I had to stay 3 days. Other then that, no one in there right mind would ever stay here unless they Absolutely Had To. In the future if needed. I will be looking for anywhere else near by to stay then...
Read moreI received a call to come to the hospital at 2am (my mom died) and had to leave our stuff in the room. We knew we'd be gone for a while so we called for an extended checkout (It was at noon but they told me they could extend it to 1pm) my wife went back to collect our things at 11:15 am. Thats BEFORE the original checkout. There was someone already cleaning our room out and on top of that the few belongings we did have there were THROWN IN THE TRASH. They had to dig our belongings out of their garbage and NOT EVEN ALL OF IT! Some of it was conveniently missing, like the 12 pack of beers I had in the fridge. We even had 2 unscratched lotto tickets on the desk because we didnt have a coin to scratch it at the time and were busy at the hospital. The pulled out one of the tickets (already scratched) and the other was nowhere to be found (probably a winner but i dont have proof of that, but mighty convenient they can provide one of the two) DISPICABLE DISGUSTING COMPANY!!! The folks there either pretended not to know english, or played dumb. The lady who was called about the checkout extension named Donna simply said she forgot to relay the message. Hotel Manager was useless as well. Why are people in our room before checkout?! And why were our things just thrown away?! It doesnt make sense amd there is honestly suspicious things going on here. Wasted my time with these idiots and writing this review but hopefully it saves someone from getting screwed over while their loved one is dying in the...
