Howard Vernon Motel — Hotel in Orlando

Our house caught on fire & currently receiving assistance to relocate. The 1st couple of days I was deep cleaning and found cigarettes etc. Once my children arrived I called to have the mattress replaced but no one showed up and my disabled child fell off the bed. The next day I removed the covers (I had an extra glad bag, placed both covers in the bag and put them outside my door( the other Caucasian receptionist lady that's not Dusty told my boyfriend not to leave it outside and took the bag) with smoking holes which kept scratching them. Finally the Mr. came for the mattress but only flipped the mattress over & said a lot of people stay here while smiling (Immediately I knew everything they told me when I arrived was a lie (Foster children are used to adults lying). The AC in our room works but debris was flying out when turned on. So we kept our windows open and brought 2 fans from our previous place for air circulation. Let's also talk about the twin sheets on a full size bed (house keepers you deserve better) or random people harassing the house keepers as they work. Anywho my last issue was the owner calling me to upsell the room without assistance knowing or helping. I explained I'm not here cause I want to be ( also I didn't want to deep clean another room which is bigger). The owner also said it would be $25 each week additional. I told her no thanks, now I checked out and I received a message that I stole the blanket with the cigarette smoking holes. When I called to explain she only wanted the money. This place is what you pay for but the service is terrible I would not recommend it to anyone, find a shelter, sleep outside etc anywhere but here. THE OWNER IS MONEY HUNGRY!!!! LOOK AT THE PLACE WHERE IS THE MONEY GOING? WHERE IS THE MONEY YOU KEEP STEALING GOING? THE BLOOD OF JESUS RETURN THE KARMA...

Beware Beware Beware on the daily side is good but if your wanting to stay on the apartment side Beware me and my boyfriend stayed there for a week the first night was good for me but not for my boyfriend he the next morning he woke up with a lot of of bumps on his arms and legs. At first we thought that It was a mosquito biting him being that I have not trotted bitten yet. The next day I woke up with bumps all over my arms face legs fingers. I said this can’t be a mosquito got prepared for work went to work and say a bed bug on my sweater. I then called my boyfriend and told him that it was not a mosquito tell the front desk that it is bed bugs. He went down there and spoke with this Asian guy and said that their is bed bugs he the man replied he will put it in the books and actually said that we do not have bed bugs and he said yes you do because I am getting bit up here’s the proof he said catch on in the cup and bring it the same day my boyfriend found one and brought it to him they did nothing about it instead of transferring us to another room we had to stay in there till we checked out being that we already previously paid. I was unable to sleep at night so I did not enjoy my stay. It also has roaches and ants Beware Beware Beware. I will be calling my lawyer to see about...

As far as the bad reviews go... This isn't supposed to be a five star hotel... You get what you pay for. For a two start hotel this place is pretty impressive. I just recently moved to Orlando about three months ago and have stayed in almost every hotel on this side of town. Price: They all run about $60-$70 a night. Howard Vernon is right in the middle at $65 a night. Staff and the Owners: The owners are pretty strict and run a tight ship... Therefore the staff are hardworking and very attentive to needs of guests. The room: Basic room, no fridge, flat screen tv that swivels, a table and twi chairs, two full sized pillow top beds and one end table, each bed has its own lamp, a standing mirror with it's own light and very large space to hang clothes and put shoes with a bench to sit on. Room service: This is the ONLY hotel on this side of town that asks you everyday if you need room service and will actually have someone bring you what you need and clean your room daily. Once again this is because the owners have certain expectations out of their staff members and themselves when it comes to running this establishment. AND LASTLY THIS IS THE ONLY.... LITERALLY THE ONLY HOTEL ON THIS SIDE OF TOWN THAT DOESN'T HAVE ROACHES. EVERY OTHER PLACE IS INFESTED. I MEAN STRAIGHT UP...
