Well, I haven't gone to a ton of KBBQ places in Orlando, because I'm a slacker, but I certainly have found my new favorite KBBQ place in Orlando. This quaint little restaurant is certainly off the beaten path. I think it would be pretty tough to randomly stumble upon it. But word of mouth is a real thing, and it lead me here.
The takeaway message here is quality over quantity. Too many KBBQ joints that offer AYCE also offer a ton of other little apps and stuff, and all that quantity means the quality of the meat has to suffer, in my opinion. This place didn't have that problem.
There are two options of the AYCE. Option A is the simpler one, with five meats to choose from, and a few other little accoutrements. Option B is about $10 more, but it opens the floodgates and offers you 15 different meats to choose from, including a few 'premium' options.
Now, another opinion I hold is that no matter what the meat is, these places have to cut the meat very thin, in order to make the supply stretch a long as possible, and to prevent us fools from undercooking things. But because of that, I feel like premium meets lose their obviously better quality when it's sliced super thin. That's just me maybe.
Anyway, all of this to say that we chose option A. Simple, delicious, all we needed. So we got our bunch of little sides, fired up the grill, and waited for the plates to start coming. The sides are always needed to help enhance the meal. Love kimchi, love bean sprouts, and they had like a mac 'n' cheese type thing. No complaints here.
We cooked and tried them all, and I rank them in this order: Fresh Beef Brisket, Beef Bulgogi, Chicken Breast, Seasoned Pork, Fresh Pork Belly. They were all good, though. But unlike other place, where the brisket just taste like cooked meat, this one tasted like beef brisket. That's how I could tell, this place was special.
Everything else was good, too. Each very different from each other, so we felt like we were getting a good variety. And I love cooking my own chicken. When chicken is cooked for you, it's always so overcooked and dry, so they make sure not to poison you. So having that control to do it yourself and do it right, I just love.
I personally made sure I always had a bowl of white rice on hand. You cook the meat, and when it's done, you plop it on top of the rice while you prepare your bite. That way, the juices of the meat drip down into the rice and just literally make the whole meal better.
There were also a couple of fun little things to order, like the Doen Jang Jjigae and the Steamed Eggs. The eggs were just eggs, to eat on their own. But the doen jang has another use; it's another sauce to use with your meat and rice! Very good. Deep and flavorful.
Well, I think I've droned on long enough. Sometimes, I just type and type and type. But overall, this is my favorite KBBQ in Orlando. It's better than the big wolf on campus, I think, because it offers quality of meat over quantity of meat. Will be...

As someone who was stationed in Korea for 9 months (and proudly survived on a strict diet of KBBQ and convenience store kimbap), walking into Bulgogi House felt like stepping into one of those hidden back alley gems near the barracks where the smoke hits you before the sign does.
This place is SMALL! But don't let that fool you. The flavors? Huge!!!We got the A menu (no seafood, because... team meat), and the marinated selections were so good I almost saluted the grill.
The staff? Super attentive. Like... "refilling your water before you knew you were thirsty" attentive. Meat came out fast and they replaced the grill more than my old unit replaced broken Humvee engines…so that’s saying something.
We ordered 14 plates of meat for 4 people. Fourteen. Could we have done more? Yes. Did we? No. Because apparently, the rest of the group wanted to "stand up and walk out like normal humans." Weak!
The cheese corn? Ehh. I wanted to love it, but it was giving “ I’m American Cheese Corn…” vibes. Maybe missing mayo? Not sure. But the steamed eggs? Glorious. Fluffy clouds of eggy joy.
Only thing I’d change? A condiment bar. Had to ask for gochujang and ssamjang like a rookie, but the staff hooked it up with no issue!! And honestly, it made the experience feel more authentic. (Shoutout to every ahjumma in Korea who handed me ssamjang with a look that said, “You better wrap that right.” Although we didn’t have lettuce 🥬 🤷🏽♂️ )
Final verdict: 10/10 would come back. Great vibes, great meats, and a nostalgic reminder of why KBBQ is life. Next time I’m ordering 20 meats!! For the...
Read moreLittle hole in the wall. All meat is cooked by you on hibatchi electric grill at the table.
This is an all you can eat option, there is no other option so BEWARE ! Bring your appetite because you're going to pay top dollar for all you can eat meat.
A wide array of fresh and good meats, The Taste is superlative and they have some good sauces.
Don't come here for anything but Quality Meat that you cook yourself, and lots of it...
The korean side dishes, so,so. They are almost an afterthought, kim chee yes, but broccoli and macaroni salad? Oh, they also have some small tomato wedges that are an odd addition to a what would otherwise be called a traditional Korean hibachi style dinner.
A little odd when you are used to chinese radish , sticky sweet potatoe and so forth. My suggestion would be stick with the more traditional Korean options for side dishes. They did have some marinated bean sprouts but they were less than pleasing.
Entering by car, very tricky, parking is off a dead end road that must be accessed by right turn off colonial west bound.
Have to ding them a couple of stars for lake of quality side dishes and trash outside and being dusty and dirty. Outside not much to look at, trash all over, and overgrown weeds and landscaping.
I'm not sure if the inside or outside is worse for wear, in any event neither one of them has has been painted anytime in the last decade.
Inside much the same, little greasy hole in the wall, dirty walls and bath rooms... or this would be 4 or 5 stars. Again the only redeeming quality here is the high quality meat and the terrific taste. The service...
