Exceptional Comfort and Southern Hospitality. My stay was nothing short of exceptional, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the University of Mississippi or the Oxford area. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm Southern hospitality and a level of service that truly exceeded my expectations.
The location of The Inn at Ole Miss is perfect for anyone visiting the university. Nestled on the beautiful Ole Miss campus, it's just a short walk to all major campus landmarks, including The Grove, the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts, and Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The convenience of being so close to everything made my stay incredibly convenient and enjoyable.
The accommodations at The Inn are top-notch. My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. I appreciated the modern amenities, including a large flat-screen TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a well-equipped workspace. The bathroom was also well-appointed, with plush towels and high-quality toiletries.
One of the standout features of The Inn at Ole Miss is the level of service provided by the staff. Everyone I encountered, from the front desk personnel to the housekeeping staff, was friendly, professional, and eager to assist with any request. Their commitment to providing a memorable guest experience was evident in every interaction.
The hotel also offers a range of excellent facilities and services. The complimentary breakfast was a highlight of my mornings, featuring a delicious assortment of hot and cold items, including Southern favorites like biscuits and gravy. The on-site fitness center was well-equipped, and the business center provided all the necessary amenities for staying productive while traveling.
The Inn at Ole Miss also boasts beautiful common areas, including a charming courtyard and a cozy lobby. These spaces were perfect for relaxing with a book or catching up on work in a comfortable setting. The attention to detail in maintaining these areas further enhanced the overall experience.
Another aspect worth mentioning is the ease of parking. The Inn offers ample parking space, which is a significant advantage, especially during busy university events or game days. The convenience of having secure, accessible parking added to the overall positive experience.
In summary, The Inn at Ole Miss provides an outstanding blend of comfort, convenience, and Southern charm. The exceptional service, beautiful accommodations, and prime location make it a perfect choice for anyone visiting Oxford and the University of...
Read moreI recently traveled with my 89 year old father, an Ole Miss alum, to Oxford and The Inn at Ole Miss could not have been a more perfect choice for us. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warm Southern hospitality and a level of service that I was not expecting. My dad was thrilled to be staying so close to The Grove. At check-in we were given two rooms that matched our request, but once we arrived, Dad mentioned he would prefer a better view. Janice at the front desk went above and beyond for us. After waiting a few minutes she graciously handed us new keys and upgraded us to rooms with the perfect view. That small gesture really meant so much. We enjoyed the hotel restaurant and had a wonderful time watching an Ole Miss game among other alumni. It felt very special. Dad had previously made a donation to support the renovation of McCormick’s. We were proud to see his name honored on a plaque outside the door. A big thank you to Phil and the complimentary shuttle service; he was so kind, informative, and reliable, even picking us up after dinner on the Square. Our shuttle rides were definitely one of Dad’s highlights from the trip! We also appreciated the hotel’s attention to detail. We accidentally left something in our room and before we even realized it the hotel called us to confirm our address and arranged to mail it. That level of care really stood out. The location of the hotel is unbeatable, and the décor has that warm, Southern, historic alumni charm that feels just right. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and look forward...
Read moreThe only reason I am giving only four stars for the room is that I know there are people out there who would find them not up to Four Seasons standards. I think they are just the ticket for a stay in Oxford.
For $130/night (that includes tax) you get a clean room, a VERY comfortable bed, and a clean bathroom (commode and shower are separated by a door from the vanity/sink, which is good). The room we had been "adopted" by an alumni couple who had decorated it with Ole Miss paraphernalia. Honestly, it was cheery and comfortable.
I did not use the shuttle to the Square, but I was glad to know that it was available. I didn't take advantage of the pool either, but it looked to have been maintained well. No one was out there, but it was July 4 weekend, and the town was a little on the quiet side.
Check-in and check-out could not have been easier or more pleasant.
Full disclosure: I worked as a desk clerk there in the 1980s when it was called the Alumni House. I have stayed there five or so times since it was re-branded as the Inn, and I've stayed in both the new section and the older sections. I much prefer this hotel/inn to any of the other...
