It was my boyfriends birthday weekend and he wanted to go to what used to be his favourite restaurant, Saint Leo. We put our name down on the list and they told us it would be a two hour wait so we went to a neighboring bar to wait it out when we finally got to the restaurant they still would not seat us. We sat at the outdoor bar and got a drink and noticed they kept pushing our seating time back even though they said we were next in line. We respectfully asked when we would be seated multiple times. This went on for hours and staff started being rude. My friends and I all went to the bathroom together and and when we go out the manager approached us and accussed us of vomiting in the bathroom which did not happen. Maybe someone did vomit but it had been 20 minutes since we even used it so it was not us. I tried to asked who he saw do that and how he was able to accuse my friends and he ignored us. Then the manger snatched my drink from out in front of me although I had already payed. My boyfriend stepped in to ask what the issue was and why we had still not been seated and he was extremely rude and continued to make false claims about what was happening and said if we did not leave he would call the cops which was crazy because we were not doing anything that would...

The good: Food was great, drinks were great, server was great. We had multiple appetizers, pizzas, and drinks and they all were really good. The unusual: We were told upon seating the table was reserved at “X” time after us (we had a reservation as well). I get that you don’t want folks camping at a table, it’s a business, turning tables equals more money and so on. And again, service was perfectly timed, but with appetizers, entrees, and a round of drinks with each course and moderate conversation we were within one minute of being “out of time” when we were done signing the checks. So if we had wanted dessert or another round of drinks in there somewhere…I’m not sure what happens really. We are about to stand up, got reminded the table was reserved again and people were waiting. Pretty off putting to be honest and not something you want on your mind during dinner either. Anyways, again worth checking out but if you make a reservation you might want to ask if there is a time window if you are trying to squeeze multiple...

We were in town for the evening and had heard good things about St Leo. Both of us were looking forward to the meal. We went on a Sunday evening and sat at the bar for meal service. The service at the bar was quick and efficient, and the server was helpful in making the selections. We had: Salad with lemon vinegarette Toasted breads Pizza with Soppressatta and Burrata Bucatini We split all of the dishes. The salad was good, but unremarkable. The toast was tasty and crisp. The Pizza has a great yeasty crust, an EXCELLENT sauce, crisp and spicy soppressatta, and creamy burrata. I wish that it had been hot, and I wish the crust (which was great around the edges) had been a little more done toward the center. The Bucatini had a great flavor, but was cold. Not sure why temperatures were such an issue that night, but they were. This was not an inexpensive meal and I really, really wanted to love it. It was good, but not...

Felt more upscale than I expected, and we caught them after brunch so the menu was limited to the “bar menu” pizza and snacks. So my bride got an ample heaping of tasty fries and I tried the pizza with the topping that sounded the most intriguing: bacon jam. Apparently they make their own by cooking down their charcuterie and smear it on this custom pie. It is mildly spicy and sweet. It could have had more on it. But It was unique and reinforced my theory that I should always try a restaurant’s most unique offerings. Service was spotty as they looked be transitioning but everyone was nice. You might request the pizza be cut into more than four slices as it hard to eat as handheld pizza cut as quarters. Tea glass is very small. Unique find: they have those old fashioned matchboxes.

One of Oxford’s best and most fun! Just off the north west corner of the Square, St Leo is walking distance to and from all things Oxford. Excellent drinks and apps. The dishes are elevated. One of the apps is grilled bread and it’s excellent. Fresh salads. A variety of entrees and killer pizzas. Ask them to cook it a minute longer in the pizza oven. It’s makes the edges have the crispy goodness that crust lovers love. Excellent service. Not fast, but reasonable. They were very crowded on a Friday afternoon and performed well. It’s also a great place to people watch. Saw friends from out of town, my hometown and Emeril was there. BAM!

Hands down the best restaurant experience I have ever had. The food was spectacular and so was the atmosphere. However, what set Saint Leo’s apart was the service. They treated myself and my family greatly. There was an accidental glass break and within seconds our waitress and multiple others were discreetly helping. They reassured us that it was not a big deal at all. There still was some embarrassment in the air and Logan Little swooped in with the offer of free desserts for the commotion. Saint Leo’s is in its own class of quality and will be revisited.
