I had high expectations for my stay here and everything was better than I had imagined. Checking in I wasn't sure which entrance to use (either is fine but the one in the parking lot is considered the front) but both have a ring doorbell which someone was quick to welcome us in and take us to the YeeHaw Cowgirl Suite. The suite is GORGEOUS with SO much lighting, two air conditioners, a beautiful deep kitchen sink, mini fridge, a patio out back with seating, a makeup vanity, super soft robes, a Casper bed and pillows...it's amazing.

I picked a suite because I don't have a bathtub at home and have been dying for a soak. The bathroom is of course beautiful and has a night light setting with Bluetooth speaker built in. Slipping into that vintage tub with a mixed drink from the bar bathed in the warm yellow light listening to some lo-fi, I could have died right then.

Knowing the rooms don't have screens, I brought my laptop and PlayStation thinking we'd pig out and game all night but then when I checked out the gift shop we were told we can take however many records we want back to the room. I saw a record player in the room but didn't put two and two together. I think I regressed into a child, giddy as hell, picking out vinyl from Ashlee Simpson, Trixie, Orville Peck, Donna Summers, Florence and the Machine, The Carpenters, and SO much more then shuffled them all back to my room to ditch game night for some private drunk dancing. The whole night I couldn't hear a thing from the rooms next to us so I hope they weren't subjected to our nonsense either.

Absolutely stunning attention to detail throughout the entire property. With such limited room availability and on-site staff who is so personable and kind, it feels like you're staying at a friend's house (but like a rich friend who can afford interior designers).

It was depressing waking up knowing I'd have to go back to my bare bones apartment, but the breakfast basket send-off was so generous with toasted croissants, the tiniest cutest jars of Nutella I've ever seen, jam, yogurt, granola, and orange juice. I left LA for one day to spend my birthday at the Trixie Motel and it felt like I was gone for months which I've never really felt after a day trip.

Nic (Nik? Nick?) and Dan(?), you gorgeous, talented, memorable humans. I'm sorry if I got your names wrong, ya'll make strong drinks, but you two really added to the stay here and I hope you know you're valued and the experience wouldn't have been the same without your hospitality.

I hope this motel only continues to grow and see lots of success. You can easily tell how so much time, effort, and love was put into this place and with how depressing the outside world can be behind that pink fence is a home...

This is about the Barbara Bar day experience.|First of all, BRAVO! What a great place. We made reservations to have cocktails there. My husband and I and 4 of our adult nieces. The staff was soooooo accommodating. Christian let us in and brought us in, Angel then brought us to the gift shop while answering questions like a tour guide. I couldn't go to Trixie Motel without getting something to cherish the memory with so I got a beautiful pink studded tumbler. Well worth every penny spent, which speaks to the quality of everything about the place.| Every detail of this pink oasis in the dessert is extremely filled with thought and perfectly executed. The decor, magical.... the garnish on the drinks, perfection...... the menu items, delish..... the powder room makes you forget why you're in there....... The random rocks in the landscape, pink and perfect..... the drink menu, flawless and fitting of the mood and the surroundings...... the staff, charming and delightful. Back to Christian at the Barbara Bar. He was like Angel, so welcoming and charming and cute. His shift ended and Joseph took over our care. He was just as charming and delightful as the others. We were treated like the most important people even as other patrons filed in. We were there because my nieces and husband and I love Trixie and the magic that is drag. My father recently passed away and was a bit of a bigot. We love him but we felt the need to toast him at Trixie. It was perfect. The drink prices are fitting for Palm Springs, much cheaper than LA or Vegas, more expensive than Myrtle Beach. The well drinks were $16 and the specialty drinks were $20 and when they were served, we didn't feel like we were bamboozled. They were spot on, not watered down or weak, and yummy. The presentation of each drink, even the mocktails, was like a show in itself. I recommend this highly. Make sure you make a reservation and go with the understanding that their guests in the lounge AND the hotel are their first priority so that means you can take as many pictures as you like but not in the private areas where guests are lounging in peace and quiet in the magic of Trixie Motel. Thanks so much to Angel, Christian, Joseph and that nice lady who was helping who I didn't catch her name. You made our experience one that we'll never forget. Bravo!!! Kenny, Tom, Stephanie, Karlie, Ashley...

This is a beautifully unique & magical, boutique motel in the 🩷 of Palm Springs. If you are looking into this hotel, it is very likely you know of the famous drag queen, Trixie Mattel…and/or have seen the HBO Series “Trixie Motel” where David Silver & Trixie transform a dilapidated motel into a fascinating, high spirited, magnificently curated, properly staffed and obviously, very LGBTQ+ friendly. We recommend watching (or rewatching) the HBO Series, prior to your stay, so that you can see the magnificent transformation of the property.||We booked a 4 night stay in The Pink Flamingo Suite to celebrate our 5th Wedding Anniversary from August 5-9, 2025. The room, pool & entire property met or exceeded our expectations. The staff is so kind & friendly, and are so much knowledgeable about the motel details, as well as local restaurants, bars & entertainment. Angel & Laura in the main office/gift shop, and Shaun & Christian in the Barbara Lounge, were all so kind, informative and helpful, that we felt like we made new friends for life. The entire staff was amazing in this way, but we didn’t have the opportunity to interact with everyone. We did not want to leave at the end of our stay. ||Our mattress was the most comfortable mattress we’ve ever slept on, to the point that we had to get info from the staff. They were obviously very sweet and upfront about any information we wanted to know. Additionally, the pressure of the shower head was top notch & very relaxing.||Are there minor flaws? Of course, but that’s going to come with any sort of renovation project, but they are so minor, most people wouldn’t even notice. If you want to nitpick & point out those minor imperfections, that would be like coming into my home and pointing out the flaws to my home renovations. Nitpicking reviews are not appealing to most anyway.||HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR A WONDERFUL GETAWAY IN PALM SPRINGS, especially if you part of the LGBTQ+ Community. A completely safe space for you to be who you truly are (within reason), and not be judged or meet any resistance. A 15 outta...

What to do with an hour to spare in Palm Springs, go roller skate of course. Location is the Trixie Motel street, got to catch the sunset and skate amongst all the Palm Trees and this road has just the perfect amount of incline and not much traffic. Bonus points for my skates matching the pink decor. #palmsprings #rollerskating #rollerskater #1960sfashion #pinupstyle

The Trixie Motel in Palm Springs is a glittery fever dream—and I mean that in the best possible way. We’re so glad we stayed here. I usually lean toward quiet vacation spots, and this was perfect, especially in the summer when the desert heat keeps the crowds away. Off-season means peaceful pool lounging and a pink oasis basically all to yourself. 💋 The motel is completely over the top—in true Trixie Mattel fashion—but it’s impossible not to smile the second you walk in. Every room is themed, every inch is pink, kitschy, and fabulous, and the energy is pure joy with a hint of mischief. It’s like Barbie’s Dreamhouse met mid-century modern Palm Springs, got a little tipsy, and decided to become a boutique hotel. The staff were amazing—super friendly and clearly invested in making guests feel welcome. A special shoutout to the blond bartender and the dark-haired front desk employee (I wish I had gotten their names!)—they were absolute gems. Warm, funny, helpful, and the kind of people who make you feel like you’re part of the scene, not just checking in. If you’re a fan of drag, design, or just want something completely unique, Trixie Motel is a must. Whether you watched the renovation journey on TV or just stumbled across it while planning a trip, trust me: it’s even better in person. Just bring your sunglasses—between the desert sun and all the pink, you’re gonna need them. My only con: We did have some very vocal neighbors in the room next door. Thankfully it was just conversation (very enthusiastic conversation), but we could hear every word. Either the walls are a little thin, or these ladies were Broadway-level projectionists. Luckily, they quieted down early, so it didn’t affect our stay too much—but worth noting if you’re a light sleeper or allergic to oversharing. We stayed in the Atomic Bombshell Room, which instantly became my favorite. It’s moodier than the others (in a good way), with a darker, slightly space-themed vibe that feels retro, glam, and just the right amount of camp. It’s like sleeping inside a 1960s sci-fi pinup calendar. So fun! 🪐 🛸
