I usually don’t go to these lengths. I try and give businesses the benefit of the doubt but this is extremely unreasonable and upsetting.
I was supposed to be refunded $1000 in mid February and 2 months later I am still trying to track down my money with this hotel.
My friends and I have been visiting this hotel for over 10 years and although it isn’t the fanciest place in town it’s always been a reasonable, clean and comfortable place to stay.
We visited the weekend of 2/21 for Modernism week, arguably one of the busiest times of the year in Palm Springs. I was put on the reservation because our friend that had originally booked the room said he was going to be getting in way later than the group. He said I could check in and just put a card down for incidentals. This is something that we have done many times at this hotel and others. This is where our nightmare begins.
When I got to the front desk the poor girl looked like she was about to cry. She looked extremely flustered and lost. After I told her my name she typed in silence for well over 5 min. I even asked her if she was having trouble finding the reservation. In the mean time I asked my friend to text me a copy of the reservation confirmation. She then answered that she had the reservation on file but that we had booked in her “old system” and that she had to create a new reservation in the new system that they had just launched that week. Cool, no problem. She asked me for my card not realizing she was not only charging me for the room in full but also charging $400 more than my friend had already paid. I told her so that she could fix it and she told me I would have to take it up with a manager the next day.
The next day I asked for the manager and was told they called out of work but that there would be someone there Sunday. The next day came and someone pounded on the door at 7:00am and told us we would go down to the office to resolve the situation.
My friend got the price he originally booked for charged to his card and had them submit a return request for my card. I called to follow up with the hotel and was told by a rude manager that I would have to take it up with their 3rd party customer service. (OYO Hotels)
I have been back and forth for 2 months between the hotel and their customer service and I have had no resolution. My issues are 3 fold.
It has been +2 month and I have not been refunded. The hotel has washed their hands of this and has left me to figure it out. This hotel uses bait and switch tactics saying that they are charging one price and then charges another upon arrival.
I hope this helps so no one has to go...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE. I never write reviews but was left with no choice after our stay here. First, this place is just an overpriced Motel 6 - for more than double the price. They present it as a "beach club" but it could not be further from the truth. Plenty of homeless around - I didn't know there was a ghetto part of Palm Springs but now I do - it's here. Also, I woke up with a RASH on my under arm, on the side I slept on. When I presented it to the manager, his response was "how do I know you didn't get it somewhere else?" Would not refund our stay or give a discount - all he wanted to do was argue. I get it - I'm sure he gets this all the time because his motel is dirty AF.
Rooms - Very basic. We got 1 trash can (no liner) that used to be used as a recycle bin (had the recycle logo on it). The walls are paper thin and you can hear the conversations of your neighbors. You can literally hear everything going on outside and next door.
Bed - We were greeted with a nice blood stain on the off-white comforter. Couldn't have stood out any more. Upon getting into the bed to sleep, there were crumbs under the sheets! Like the bed was just remade with the same sheets as the previous stay. SO GROSS. Then, as I mentioned earlier, I woke up with a rash, from the bed, on my under arm. GROSS.
Bathroom - for a 2 night stay, for 2 people, we were given 2 towels and one hand towel. When opening my towel after my shower, a long hair (10+" long) was twisted into it. No one noticed that when they were folding the towel?? Again, GROSS. No towels to dry our hands off because were not given any.
Surroundings - GHETTO. Plenty of homeless around, so much so that I would not let family walk around alone around this property.
People who stay here - We were woken up at midnight by neighbors banging on the door like the cops. We literally thought it was the cops as there was yelling and pounding on the door. We were given a room next to the parking lot where we were again woken up at 2am by drunk people hanging out, yelling and laughing in the parking lot. This went on for 15 mins before I called "security" who obviously was asleep on the job. It's a small property, what else are you "watching" that I had to call?
Absolute worst experience I've ever had. I just wanted a refund or even a partial refund but the manager chose to argue with me and said he would have to get "pest control" out here first to check. I HIGHLY DOUBT that would ever happen, given the presentation of the place. Save your money and just go to the motel 6...
Read moreAvoid This Hotel at All Costs – Absolutely Disgusting! I recently stayed at The Infusion Beach Club in Palm Springs, and I can confidently say this was by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I checked out earlier than my original reservation because the conditions were simply unbearable. This hotel is a disgrace and should not even be rated 2 or 3 stars—it barely deserves half a star! 🔹 Filthy, Worn-Out Rooms The moment I stepped into my room, I was shocked by how dirty and rundown everything was. The carpets and floors were stained, the furniture was worn out, and the walls looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years. The bed linens felt unwashed, and there was a strange smell in the room. The bathroom was even worse—mold, grime, and dirt everywhere. The sink was disgusting, and the toilet looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in ages. 🔹 Horrible Hallways & Common Areas Walking through the hallways, it was clear that cleanliness is not a priority for this hotel. The walls were dirty, the floors looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed, and everything just had a dingy, neglected feel. This place is nowhere near the photos you see online. 🔹 Deceptive Ratings & Lack of Honest Reviews I am shocked that this hotel has decent ratings and reviews online. Either people are not sharing their real experiences, or reviews are being filtered. Do NOT trust the ratings! If you’re thinking about staying here, don’t make the same mistake I did. 🔹 Priceline's Terrible Customer Service To make matters worse, I booked through Priceline.com, which completely failed to provide an accurate representation of this place. They did not highlight negative reviews or issue proper warnings about the poor conditions. When I decided to check out early due to how disgusting the hotel was, Priceline refused to refund me for the remaining nights. Their policy makes it impossible to modify or cancel when the hotel is an absolute nightmare. Avoid booking with Priceline at all costs! 🚨 Final Verdict: STAY AWAY! 🚨 This was the most disgusting, poorly maintained hotel I have ever stayed at. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere—this place is NOT worth your money, time, or health. Rating: 0/5 (If I could give negative...
