Mattress Firm Northampton Crossings — Hotel in Palmer Township

This was quite an interesting shopping trip. When we arrived at the store, we noticed customers and the Mattress Firm employee standing outside. Come to find out, the door had been locked, so we decided to wait for it to be remotely opened. After maybe 15-20 minutes of waiting, we offered to bring Steve, the employee, to a nearby store to get another set of keys, only to return and find the doors had now been manually locked. We were able to enter through the back, after driving around the store, and had actually helped other customers around to the back of the store, since it would have been a pretty long hike to walk. I’m sure most people wouldn’t think to rate this experience so high after the challenges we were faced with just to shop, but Steve was a champ. The entire time this ensued, he remained beyond calm, polite, and extremely helpful. In fact, we spent a lot of time engaging in conversation that didn’t even pertain to our purchase simply because of his friendly demeanor. We walked out of there more than pleased with our purchase, excited for our new mattress (which could have been delivered THE NEXT DAY if we opted for that) and fully prepared to purchase from them again very soon, as my daughter needs an upgraded mattress. I find mattress shopping overwhelming. There are tons of reviews on mattresses that are so conflicting. I went to mattress firm to test out some mattresses I’d been looking at online. When walking in, everyone was very friendly without bombarding you into purchasing something immediately. One of the salesman, Tom, came over to offer assistance. I mentioned what I was looking for out of a mattress and he gave me a few options with different price points. He was kind throughout the entire process and was patient with both me and my young niece when we asked a ton of questions. When making my purchase, he provided great explanations of all of my options, making sure I was aware of all the fine print details. I bought everything on a Saturday and delivery/set up happened the very next day. After the delivery was completed, I received a curtesy call/ follow up from Tom to make sure everything went well. We worked with Susan but both members of the sales staff were great. They keep the showroom clean and sanitized making it safe for customers like us to test out the electronic frames. 😉 (yes we did buy one because they are awesome)We were laughing like teenagers which in my experience makes other stores uncomfortable, but not here. They just laughed right along with us. Susan actually listens to you and helps you find what you need not what's going to line her pockets. We needed a new bed for ourselves and for my stepson. She showed us 3 different mattresses in three different price groups and gave us space to decide for ourselves. Nit once did she try to push us in either direction. She is knowledgeable and extremely professional. I will definitely send family and friends over to her if I hear they are looking for a new bed.
