The room was $76 (after reservation choice rewards discount) and they put an extra $100 hold on the card in case of "excessive cleaning, smoking, pets". They are double bed rooms so automatically smaller than most hotel standards of two queen size. The plus is there is a fridge, microwave, and small table. But check your fridge because there is ice built up in the back of ours that prevents it from closing without removing some shelves. We got two rooms. The first room was pretty small with barely enough room to squeeze around the furniture. The second room smelled heavily of cigarettes so we swapped rooms for fear of being charged for the smell after leaving and also because it was unbearably strong (if you are going to charge for the smell then take care of the smell). The room we switched to was larger (204) and had a slight smell but it wasn't so bad that we had to swap again. There was actually room for our luggage in this room, the first room there wasn't really without tripping over it all while walking so we kept most of our stuff in the larger room. TV is newer with HDMI (we always bring a Roku on trips so this was nice). The handle on one of the bathrooms was loose and actually trapped my brother in the bathroom for a few minutes until he could fiddle with it enough to open it.
The worst part though was the breakfast. Covid-19 is no excuse to make the included breakfast pathetic. The juice machine was shut down but they had a coffee machine right next to it with stirrers just sitting in a cup for everyone to touch (somehow that makes sense to them) and tea bags. And then pre-wrapped small muffins. They only put out a few at a time and have to be asked to restock it. But if you don't like tea or coffee then you don't get anything to drink. No cartons of milk or little juice cups or anything (though my brother filled a cup with creamers to make himself a glass of "milk"). Some pre-covid reviews said this place had bacon which is one of the reasons we chose this place (my brothers just got off the AT and were craving bacon), well that and the Dairy Queen down the road. So to go from a hope of bacon to pathetic muffins and nothing to drink is a huge let down. Yogurt cups, boxes of cereal, wrapped fruit, pop-tarts, oatmeal packets, etc. All these things would be easy for them to provide (wal-mart down the road even) rather than using Covid as an excuse to cheap out so heavily on breakfast.
Basically if you are looking for something a little cheaper for a night or two this place is okay but if the free breakfast is high on your radar for choosing a place then stay clear until Covid is over (if it...
Read moreSTAY AWAY from this property. As a matter of fact, stay away from all Choice Hotels. I wish I had.
I booked in early July for a Labor Day weekend stay. I arrived at about 9:30pm and the first thing that hits you is the SMELL. The entire hotel reeks of cigarettes and mold. Check-in was smooth and I went right up to my room. WHATEVER YOU DO, do not stay in Room 412. It is the smallest room in the entire hotel. Because of the size and awkward layout, the maid admitted to me that she has trouble cleaning it and changing the sheets. The room has no closet, the wi-fi is inaccessible, the sink is the size of a dinner bowl, there’s no counter space in the bathroom, no wastebasket in the bathroom, and there were hairs by the sink.
I took one look and immediately called down to the front desk. Because I was there for a wedding, I needed a closet to hang my dress and my husband’s suit. Front desk said it was no problem and to come back down and they’d give me a “much bigger” double room. I don’t know what happened in the three minutes it took me to go back to the first floor, but by the time I got back to the desk, there was nothing they could do to accommodate me. I was told to speak to a manager in the morning. In the morning, the manager says there’s nothing she can do. Because of the holiday and the wedding, I was attending, it was just impossible for me to find another place to stay. So I stayed, only to be disappointed at every turn.
Treadmill broke down and stopped working after 5 minutes. Wi-Fi was never accessible. Getting ready was a nightmare. My husband and I were basically fighting over the one small mirror. The iron didn’t work and I ended up buying a new dress for the event. Every complaint I lodged was met with the same response, “there’s nothing we can do about it.” My anger turned to rage when I saw that they charged me the full rate even though that room is clearly not up to par.
The same space on the second floor is where they keep the ice machine. So imagine that, your room is as big as an ice & vending machine room! It’s dishonest for them to even try and act like that room is the same as the others just because it does have a king bed. The second manager I spoke to continued with the “there’s nothing I can do” line and told me to call the 1-800 number. Which I did, and an hour later I’m getting a partial refund. It’s not even about the money though, they ruined what should have been a lovely weekend. Like I...
Read moreI recently stayed at the Quality Inn in Easton, PA from July 9 to July 12, 2025, and I can confidently say this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I traveled from Greensboro, NC to attend my brother’s funeral in New Jersey, and I chose to stay at this location because I used to live in Easton and had stayed here many times in the past. It once felt familiar and comfortable—but unfortunately, those days are long gone.
From the moment I walked into the hotel, I noticed a terrible odor in the hallways—long before I even stepped into my room. When I entered the room, I was so shocked by the condition that I went straight to the front desk to ask what had happened. I was told the hotel had been “renovated,” but it was clear that cleanliness was not part of that process.
The floors in my room were visibly dirty and hadn’t been mopped. The bathtub needed serious cleaning, and mirrors and furniture had fingerprints and smudges. My cousin removed her shoes and laid across the bed—within minutes, the bottom of her white socks were black. As the owner of a professional cleaning business, I know what a clean room should look like. It was clear that housekeeping simply changes beds and replaces towels—nothing more. I had to go into full cleaning mode in a room I had already paid for, during one of the most difficult times in my life.
The next day, I noticed the floor was wet as if something had spilled or was leaking. I reported it to the front desk, and the staff came to investigate. We were then moved to the room next door—but the problems continued. I now had to clean yet another room. This time, I also saw roaches. The hallway carpet was disgusting.
This experience was both physically and emotionally exhausting, especially while I was grieving the loss of my brother. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and will never stay here again. What was once a decent and trusted place has become completely unacceptable.
I am deeply disappointed and plan to forward this letter to the CEO of Quality Inn. Guests should never have to clean their own rooms—especially not during a time of mourning. I hope serious attention is brought to the condition of this property, and I urge management to reevaluate their standards for cleanliness and customer...
