Please understand that i understand what its like to have a business and reviews matter. And i hate to have to sit here and let the world know that someones place o f business isnt up to par but i feel that ive given this place more than one chance and they still arent where they need to be. And the owner and staff dont seem to care as much as they should. Now lets begin, I was at this establishment 11 months ago right around the time they 1st opened. I also went on a saturday night and they were busy. Service was horrible all of our food came out cold or incorrect. I wrote a bad review on f.b I think. Now 11 months later i said you know what its been awhile im sure they worked out the kinks. Its now again, a saturday. Got to the table my friend was waiting for me at. We had no utensils but had menus, it took 10 mins maybe more to get our drinks and app in and the only reason we did is i had to keep stoping her. Then for our server to get back to us to put in our entrees i had to stop her again. When the app finally came out we had no appetizer plates or utensils to eat. So we had to wait another ten minutes while our appetizer got cold. Then we had to stop the owner i think for the utensils and the guy who brought out our food for the plates. Then my friend needed a refill our server finally came over on her own accord. But i needed a cup of ice for the warm soda she brought to me in a bottle. And before i even got to say what i needed she sped off. Not even concerned if the rest of the table needed anything. I spoke to the owner and explained to him. I am also a manager in the hospitality industry and the fact they have been open more than a year and have still not figured out how to run a saturday smoothly is ridiculous that your servers have zero personality and dont even try be a bit personal to each table on a busy day. Dont get me wrong i will not lie the food was better than it was 11 months ago but the service still is lacking. And the owner did seem like he did take it into consideration but wasnt to concerned he just said he doesnt expect his serves to get to know the guests on a day like this. Lol thats their job. Thats how they make their money. They need to be able to handle the pressure of a saturday. So his excuse was lame but it is what it is. The shrimp tacos were good enough to attempt to go back on a monday afternoon. But never again on a busy day... Im sure our server wasnt expecting to get a tip but i still paid the bill in full and gave her 10.00 tip but i also wrote on the receipt. I told the server to work on her customer service skills and to be a bit more personable. I understand servers live off tips, im not a cold blooded person who really thinks that u get paid for the service you provide. Cause if that was the case i would have left 2 nickels. Read moreHorrendous experience with the server and the manager Milton who was working. The server brought our check and we gave her the credit card. She never came back. We had to flag her down about 10-15 minutes later to say we never got it. She insisted she had given it back. She insisted the bill was paid. We told her that was impossible as we had never tipped nor signed the receipt. She never really looked for the card. She than came back and said the manager was going to review the cameras. We waited at least another twenty minutes and flagged her down again ask what was taking so long. During this whole time she never even offered to refill our drinks or anything. She had just ignored us. She than went into the back again and said she would check. We waited some more. Finally saw her and the manager go to the front and look through about two of the leather receipt holders and than she came back with it. No apology just here it is. I than asked to speak to the Manager who went directly into the back again. He came to our table and never apologized just was like what did we want. I explained that he should have come out and spoke with us and that we should receive an apology at least. He still did not apologize until I insisted and by now many other people were watching. Told him he really should comp the check. All he said was he had to check the tape so he could not talk to us. He did not comp any part of the check. I told him that coming out when there is a problem is his job. He said he would take it under advisement for next time. To add insult to injury the credit card that was lost at least temporarily belong to the woman we were there to celebrate. We went to this restaurant as her choice because we were celebrating that she had received her scans and was declared cancer free. She refused to let us pay and I was not going to argue with her given the situation although we all tried to pay. I attempted to call the restaurant owner immediately after I got back. I called the Allentown restaurant and the women who answered the phone said the guy here was a silent partner but that she as a server had a horrendous experience at the same restaurant and that we should try the Allentown one. Spoke to the manager about my experience and made it clear I didn’t want to write a review bc speaking to him in person would be more effective. Once I told him my experience be continued to put the whole blame on a new server that he hired. Didn’t take no accountability on the fact that the entire staff saw me sitting in my table for over 20 min and couldn’t take the initiative to one ask if I was okay or I needed something. Bare minimum. Hosts saw me sitting there all by myself as I waited for my husband and son to arrive didn’t tell the server assigned to my table that I’ve been waiting I complained to the busser she said she will help but proceeded to do her job. Bare minimum. Locked eyes with the server who walked passed me multiple times she wasn’t assigned to me but couldn’t even tell the server who was assigned to me that I was waiting!! BARE MINIMUM. A couple sat down 20 min AFTER me got seated on another section (w the experienced female sever who locked eyes with me) they got their drinks and food BEFORE ME. My husband and son were 30 min away when I arrived to get our table. My plan was to have the food ordered and ready for them both bc they were starving when they came I didn’t even have A GLASS OF WATER. Please I can’t emphasize this enough If you plan on coming in and celebrating anything at this place prepare to walk into a restaurant who hires a team who will do the bare minimum. Didn’t want to probably waste my time again bc I doubt he will do anything to please his customers. I only wrote this review incase anyone was on the fence of coming here. Telling you take your hard earned money and spend it somewhere else where you'll be respected and taken care of.
