I went there about two weeks ago to renew my license. At first there was a lady at the front desk when you first walk in and she was nice. Then i got my ticket sat down, when my number was called i went up to the counter down by the end (near the computers) and the older lady that attended me was rude but was friendly to the person before me. (Im very observant) whatever, i brushed it off and sat down to wait for my number to be called again. As i was waiting i was confused as to why my number wasn’t popping up and being i haven't been to PennDot in years i wasn’t sure what was going on. So i go to ask the older man with the bloodshot eyes (that is now sitting at the front desk) to get some clarification and he was EXTREMELY rude and i did nothing to deserve that type of treatment i was friendly when i approached him for him to come out of his face to me.. after we some exchanged words i was getting agitated at this point and was now giving him the same energy he was giving me, for him to then play victim and then had the nerve to say i didnt have to “catch an attitude” about it? But kept cutting me off when i tried to tell him my concern every single time from the beginning and kept getting more hostile. I just snatched my new number and sat down. Then he had the nerve to say something slick when i sat down. He is honestly lucky that i respect my elders because had that been a younger me, things would’ve went completely LEFT that day. But i held my composure and continued on. I have NO idea why they have people there that are rude to others? If you don't like your JOB OR WORKING WITH OTHER PEOPLE TO HELP THEM OUT THEN QUIT simple as that? And they REALLY need to fire that old man because he’s a bad look for that place. I have never had any issue ever going there but people like him and that older lady? Just make the place a hostile environment. Especially when they pick and choose who to be cordial to. Trust me I PEEP EVERYTHING and it isn’t right and i’m sure i’m not the only one who feels this way! I can say that they younger lady who took my pic was nice and took a good pic of me which is the only reason i left with a smile...
Read moreI arrived this morning a little after they opened and there was a total of maybe 12 people. The gentleman in the entrance asked for the information necessary and once he verified my info his instructions were to have a seat and wait for my number to be called. I did just that not even 1 min later I hear the number after mine called i005. I proceed to walk to the attendant that called that number and told her I had i004. She VERY rudely tells me that she already called my number and I didn’t move fast enough. I was completely taken back. She was insinuating that I purposely ignored my number being called as if I’d like to be there any longer than necessary. I told her I literally just walked in the door not even a minute ago. Her response was no you waited much longer than 1 minute. Ok? Again very confused as if we’re being timed as we walk in? Just a weird response from a professional. At this point I’m so confused to why this woman is arguing with me instead of helping me or giving me a solution. Thankfully a man named Bill was sitting next to her and kindly offered to help. As I finish with Bill I’m told to have a seat again and wait for my number to be called to take a picture. As I walk away I hear the woman turn to Bill and ask, “what was that all about?” Glaring at me at talking rudely about me yet again. I didn’t catch her name but wow how rude could you possibly be? Everyone else was kind and helpful and this woman wanted to play victim for some odd reason. Such a weird...
Read moreThey do a good job of making sure you're prepared and have all of your documents, but your experience depends on who you get at the counter and they might make a mistake so you should check for errors before leaving. I went to get a new real id license with a change of address. It went smoothly at first.
2 different people wrote my address wrong. The first man I worked with was very nice and informative but he misread my address and printed it with the wrong number. I had to go to a different counter to have it fixed, which was fine, however, this man was rude, saying I should've checked the info was correct before I left the building. When he reprinted my address, he wrote it wrong and blamed me for his mistake saying that's the address he heard me say, despite the fact I had just written my address down on the form he told me to fill out. He didn't bother to refer to the form when typing my address.
He'd also told me taking a new picture isn't needed for a real id, however, after printing my correct address, I had to have a new picture taken. When I asked why, he said, "I don't know. I'm a slave to the system". Overall, when they don't make a mistake, you can be in and out very quickly. But when they do, the process has to start over again, and not all the people working behind the counters are pleasant. Some are knowledgeable and friendly. Some will blame you for their mistake and don't know what they're...
