*Update. Went to give this place another try. And once again it was another disappointment. I figured I'd give them some time to get their act together. So on my second attempt I went earlier and a few weeks into their opening. I was there at 5:15 pm on a weeknight .. they close at 7 pm. I wanted a Cuban Sandwich and just like the first attempt...they had no more pernil to make a Cuban.
We were anxiously awaiting for their opening and went there with really high hopes. Last night when we arrived there was a long line and a big crowd and I was excited. Any place that has this type of drawing must be amazing.
I know with any new start you will hit bumps in the road but you really have to have your act together to make it pleasent for all your customers. The line was so long and the wait was well over 40 minutes.
The style of the restaraunt is casual. Most items on the menu are already made and you just pick what you want. You'd think this would be a quick easy process. Rice, Beans, a meat portion one and or two sides serve and onto the next guest. Instead all the girls seemed lost and confused behind the counter. There was no system set and definately no organization from the manager/owner of the place. Each one should have been set to a station and it would have kept the servicing flow much quicker. The kitchen was also definately backed up. Too many people waiting but not enough food.
All I desperately wanted was a Cuban Sandwich and by the time I hit the counter the most important ingredient...(pork) was all out. I was offered a ham and cheese sandwich instead...no thank you...that's not a Cuban sandwich if I wanted ham and cheese I'd go to Subway.
My husband and I ended up getting chicken fricase with rice, beans and maduro because our options at that point were limited. My sons ordered the bistec, rice and beans...the portion of the bistec was really scarce...whatever was left in their pot was what they got and still were charged as the full meal for two small pieces of beef.
I wanted to love this place. I really did but last night really left me hanging. The food was flavorful but small portions.
I am hoping it is just a bumpy start for Adobo Latin Kitchen and they stick around to figure it out. I will give it another try in a few months when they get their...
Read moreI absolutely love Adobo. Day to day their food is fresh, always takes delicious, and great portions for the price. They offer quick picks like empanadas, relleno de papá, and other frituras. Been here dozens of times and they never disappoint.
On May 5th we had a party CATERED by them and they did not disappoint. They delivered on time, provided serving utensils and we're very courteous, and helpful. Our guests loved all of the food! With advice from their manager when placing order for a party of approx. 85-90 guests, We ended up ordering 4.5 trays of meat, 4 trays of rice, 1 tray of beans & 3 trays of assorted sides. I love the fact that they make their rice, beans, and other dishes that traditionally have pork/meat bits in them without meat, so that we were able to offer or VEGAN and VEGETARIAN guests something they could also enjoy!
We ended up with 65 guests showing, and eating multiple times! We ended up with 1 tray of rice, and half try of pernil, and another tray of assorted food leftover!
Which was perfect! (Which we then froze, still tastes great when thawed!)
We thank the staff at Adobo so much for their help, the truly have a gift! I would recommend them highly to cater your next party or even corporate event, you will not be...
Read moreTried calling in over 100$ worth of food for my family. They wouldn’t let us pay cash when we got there and made us use a card to pay in advance. Ok, weird but whatever. But then they rejected 3 people in my family credit cards in a row. At first I thought it was maybe an issue with my card but after not accepting 3 separate cards in a row it was obvious they were doing something wrong. So after 40 minutes of them being absolutely no help and wasting my time I had to order it online. Used my card first try with no problems in under 4 minutes. Learn how to punch in card numbers it’s really not that complicated. I kept asking them to read me the numbers back and they just refused, almost like they were wasting my time on purpose so they didn’t have to deal with the order. When I got there it was all young kids working… not a single adult/manager. Food was decent, but the cheddar cheese in the pastelillos/empanadas is really gross because it doesn’t melt on the inside. Use American or even better cooper sharp, no one wants hard coagulated cheese in their pastelillos. Please do better with customer service it shouldn’t be like pulling teeth to place a pick up...
