Read moreI had an extremely disturbing and frustrating experience at this hotel involving negligent handling of my belongings, unprofessional staff behavior, and a missing bag worth over $3,500. Upon check-in, I was assigned Room 1720, confirmed by printed confirmation, 3 phone calls, a front desk person and email. My key card didn’t work, so I called the front desk, and a security guard came to let me in. After placing my bags in the room, I was told by security that my name was not on the register and was instructed to go to the front desk. While I was walking to the front desk, security removed my bags from the room and left them in the hallway unattended. Front desk staff then confirmed Room 1720 was assigned to me, but I requested to be moved due to the confusion. I was reassigned, which opened without issue. When I returned to speak with security, only one of my two bags (the large suitcase) was returned. The other — a laptop bag containing over $3,500 in equipment (including a laptop, portable monitor, AR glasses, Starlink Mini, Bose headset, foldable keyboard, VOOC chargers, GPS trackers, etc.) — was missing. They claimed they had no idea where it was. When I spoke to Brooklyn, the hotel manager, and the head of security, they accused me of illegally recording our conversation and threatened to call the police — even though I only brought up the existence of video evidence. They were extremely dismissive and blamed me for the theft, despite it being clear that the hotel staff mishandled my property. A police report has been filed, tracker still indicates the bag is still somewhere within hotel property, though likely in an area I cannot access. This entire experience has been stressful, costly, and incredibly unprofessional. I urge all guests to avoid trusting this hotel’s security staff, and I strongly advise hotel management to take accountability and act responsibly. If management wants to see the video evidence they can reach out to me. I would love to post them on the internet but my personal information...
Read moreWhile far from the worst hotel I've stayed at it was a pretty miserable stay. You enter and are greeted by the smell similar to the home of a old trailer park hoarder's home: years of tobacco tar covered by broken cologne bottles. On my floor it wasn't as bad but something in my room was allergy triggering, either the mold in the shower or the thick mounds of dust along the base boards in my room. The air intake and vent for the heater is also coated in a thick layer of dust and muck. There was someone's contact lense on the floor in the bathroom and the wall paper was peeling. The shower cycled hot and cold water, you'll freeze for most of your shower with short bursts of scalding hot water that will leave your skin horrifically dry. If you must buy water here use the vending machine, even at a ridiculous $3 each it's still better than the $10 you'll pay in the rest of the hotel. I never did find where I was supposed to check in for my tower but the douche at the check in counter chose to chastise me when I dared to go to the wrong counter to check in even though there was no one else checking in at the time. He still begrudgingly checked me in so I don't see the problem, it's not like he was busy with anything and if it actually was a problem why not just point me to where I was supposed to go? I have spoken with my event organizers for the sin city classic and have urged them to not recommend/warn participants not...
